My stay at the Yiri Lodge did not happen. I made my booking through Hotels.com but on arrival the Yiri Lodge did not have any rooms available. Instead they put me in a half-constructed "hotel" nearby. In that room, the only light was a small desk lamp and the toilet was broken. The toilet leaked out the back and flooded the bathroom continuously. I had to request them to mop the floor in the morning/evening to use the bathroom. Other than the mop, they did not clean the room in the four nights I was there. The rate at this new hotel was also 75% LESS than what I had paid online and they refused to give me any type of credit or compensation for the inconvenience. I have reported this Yiri Lodge's fraudulent activity to Hotels.com. I would not recommend booking this hotel online.

Located on the University campus, the hotel is quiet, within easy reach of the airport and a £5-8 taxi ride to the city centre (30 mins) There is an ATM, small market and food supermarket nearby. The rooms are smallish with dark wood furniture, air conditioning and water heating is good. There is a TV loungs and bar and TVs in the rooms.. Breakfast has cereal/porrige, toast, baked beans, eggs, Ghanaian dishes and tea/coffee. When we took an evening meal there, there were only two dishes available but this may have been a quqiet day. A good value hotel..

The Yiri lodge is in a quiet area in the southeast corner of the very large campus of the University of Accra. It's about 1.5km from the centre of the campus. The room was relatively very good: clean, comfortable, air-con, fridge, fine shower, Breakfast was good: it varied with a small selection of juice, cereals, fruit, breads, eggs, oats porridge etc. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Electric power sockets were limited (same as UK/Ireland). Had to unplug TV (not missed) behind fridge to access to one. Wifi worked well except on one day/night there was a complete outage of the broadband provider.
