Place is hidden in beatifull Foresta Umbra , very quiet and peacefull place,in summer weather is perfect around 20 degree ,you can walk around get cycle and you will know more about Foresta Umbra , beatifull nature reservation ,also we had really amazing dinner experience ,your tongues will taste everything from salt to sweet, waitress are very professional and kind ,hats down to director i ve been here 5 years ago and the potential of Hotel Elda improved in every direction ! A very cozy place in the heart of the Primeval Umbra Forest. The staff was exceptional, the rooms are modern and yet traditional, with the likes of wooden windowpanes and slatted roofs. Very high ceilings made them a bit cold when they suffered a blackout, but the situation was easily fixed. Bathrooms were well-equipped and overall the place is very quiet at night. From there, you're just a short walk away to the deer reserve, the little lake and multiple paths going inside the heart of the UNESCO heritage forest. Place is easy to reach, as it's over one of the main roads connecting the coast to the inner Gargano area. Staff was very welcoming and kind, they helped us throughout our holiday, make sure you check the local coffee bar and order a cat-shaped macchiato :D

Stayed here on our 4th night of a cycle tour around the gargano peninsula. Because it's nestled deep in the forest, our expectations for food and accommodations with limited but this is truly a world class nature retreat and restaurant. After 5pm when the day trippers leave, sipping drinks on the lovely patio feeling the forest settle around you is truly a magical time. The service is refined and not intrusive. The highlight is the fantastic restaurant. The chef hand is subtle, allowing the local ingredients to shine, but his technique is high level and his creativity is undeniable. We had multiple dishes and all were beautifully presented, delicious and perfectly paired with recommended locally sourced wines. the deconstructed 'terramisu' - marscarpone and coffee mousse, chocolate crumble, maldon salt and topped with porchini mushroom dust paired with a mirto made from locally collected wild berries and herbs was a world class finish. This hotel and restaurant combination is a rare and special place to savor.

A lovely hotel in the middle of the incredible Forests Umbra of Gargano. Great service, comfy rooms and location, location, location!

Beautiful hotel located strategically in the heart of the forest, just 10 minutes walk from the lake. The hotel is classy and clean, rooms are spacious and comfortable, staff is very polite. We chose the half board and the restaurant was outstanding. I would thoroughly recommend it and we'll go back.
