Beautiful quiet peaceful location— lovely host

Wonderful experience. Our host and owner Pal ( pronounced Paul) was delightful. The farm home built in 1624 was amazing. The halibut dinner Pal prepared was one of the best meals of our trip.

Wow. An “ancient” location, amazing stories and a great owner, great food! Rest is up to the visitor and their imagination!

Late 1800s style decor, shared restrooms, and rustic setting and approach to facilities. The owner is very helpful and the staff is very polite. Other lodgers very friendly and it adds to the experience. Communal dinners are served but we were sightseeing so didn’t partake.

Incredible to stay in a 400 year old lodge built by the king of Denmark. A lot of history under foot.

We received such a warm welcome and exquisite hospitality from the owner, who shared so much knowledge of Norwegian life with us. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. This stay has been a highlight of our trip to Norway.

Old house and beautiful furniture. Owner is a wonderful man and very good chef.

We have never had such a warm and friendly welcome. Don't be put off by the dirt track leading to the house, perfectly manageable on a motorbike. We were greeted with a smile and a cup of tea which was very welcome. There is the opportunity to have a meal and it was one of the best meals of the holiday. Beautiful house in a beautiful area hosted by wonderful people. If we are ever lucky enough to return to the area we will definitely return.

The inn is situated a little of the beaten track, but that adds to the charm. It’s surrounded by beautiful nature, you’ll meet horses, goats and chickens on your way there. The building is of historic character and very charming. The service is outstanding. To our surprise you can get dinner there as well, which we were very happy about. It turned out to be one of the best meals on our 3- week long trip through Norway. I can highly recommend this guesthouse. Next time we’re in the Bodø area we’ll make sure to book more than one night!

Un séjour qui change des autres. L'impression d'être reçu chez des amis, dans une ancienne maison de famille d'où se dégage une impression de vieille Norvège accueillante et rassurante. Les échanges avec les propriétaires (ou avec d'autres clients) sont sympathiques, aimables, bienveillants, amusants, enrichissants. On est très loin des hôtels de chaîne et c'est tant mieux ! Rien n'est aseptisé, chaque objet a sa place, et on voudrait y rester longtemps pour en profiter encore plus, parler de tout et de rien, profiter du temps qui passe. Mon chien a de plus été reçu comme un roi. Un peu intrigué par certains commentaires, j'ai tenté une étape différente, et je ne le regrette absolument pas : faites comme moi !

Ett mycket annorlunda och minnesvärt ställe med charm och personlighet. Så långt ifrån ett ordinärt hotell som ni kan tänka er. Besöket kommer vi minnas, och det med ett leende på läpparna.

Oplevelses ophold på 400 år gammel gård i meget landlige omgivelser. Fantastisk sted med fremragende mad og betjening. Kan kun anbefales. Tak til Skagen Gaard for en dejlig oplevelse

Skagen Hotel var et helt museum, et gammelt, men flott herskapshus som er verdi et besøk. Men du bør ha god tid til å se deg omkring. Meget hyggelig vertskap også.

Personalet var gjestfri og imøtekommende. God frokost og nydelig fiskemiddag. Interessante omgivelser både inne og ute. Anbefales!
