Perfect hotel, friendly staff, good choice for breakfast and beds comfy

Room was clean but dated. Staff all friendly. But we have stayed here twice now and both times there has been a lot of noise in the early hours of the morning. Latest stay the noise was from a domestic which resulted in one person banging on a door for 30/40 minutes at 2.30am

Excellent location for city centre shops. Hotel is nice and modern and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable. Would use hotel again.

Friendly and efficient staff

Room was clean and tidy and quite spacious but otherwise basic. The TV was appallingly small for an hotel. The doors are clunky and you can hear other doors closing - which is annoying. Breakfast was okay. Staff were friendly enough. The hotel is looking a bit tired but I understand that it’s going to be renovated in Nov 2026.

Sadly Margaret fell seriously ill and we had to leave our Christmas Holiday, but our short time with the Imperial Hotel was excellent in every detail - thank you.

Room was not as advertised in the photos. Very tired room and furniture. Bed wasn’t very comfortable at all. There was only a Soap dispenser by sink and shower. No other items provided (shampoo, conditioner, lotion) as expected in a hotel. Car park view was disappointing. We booked room only so can’t comment on breakfast. Decided not to frequent the bar or restaurant. There’s a £6 per night charge for parking. I only met the person at reception, who appears quite fed up.

Always a warm welcome at The Imoerial. Rooms are warm and of a good size. Beds very comfortable. A great location too with parking on site.
