I never fail to stay at Casakita, always. It turns out Yogyakarta isn't just Malioboro; Gejayan also has tons of food and shops. It's close to Pakuwon Mall.

I stayed at Casakita from 27–28 July 2026. Overall, my stay was okay, but I think the property could benefit from a little more maintenance. Only one towel was provided, and the towel rail in the bathroom was broken. The room also did not have a blackout curtain on the west-facing window, so it became very bright and quite hot in the afternoon. There were no cups or bottled water provided in the room, although drinking water was available from a dispenser outside the room. On the positive side, the location is good and convenient, and there is plenty of parking space for guests. With a few improvements to the facilities and maintenance, I think this could be an even better place to stay.

Pros: 1. Ample parking. 2. Easy access. Cons: 1. The hotel's location doesn't match Google Maps. This first impression was very disappointing. I got off the map and found that I'd been moved to another hotel. The manager apologized for the location not matching Google Maps. I was forced to pay another Rp 25,000 for a Grab ride to the other hotel. 2. Room 101: The chair was very dirty, with unsightly stains. It would have been better to throw it away rather than make the room look dirty. 3. Room 101 can be opened without a key. This needs to be fixed immediately for guest safety.

During peak season, rates are above average, even 3-star hotels and above are outperformed. This could be adjusted, but overall, it's okay.

The location is very strategic, close to Gejayan and Pakuwon Mall. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. However, it seems there's no daily housekeeping service, as this is an exclusive boarding house (not a hotel). Overall, I'm satisfied, please keep it up.
