One of the coolest cutest hotels I’ve ever stayed in! This was a memorable experience. If you hesitate don’t be you will not regret. There are steep stairs (thinking my older parents would have a hard time navigating) but there are rooms on first floor. Great location the best beer across the street. Advice from someone who only spent 1 night - make sure you stay at least 2 nights!! So much to see and do!

Such a fun place to stay! We stayed in the librarium room which has a separate bunk room. This was great for three of us. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was updated and clean.

I stayed at Hocus Pocus Tiny Hotel in York during a work trip, mainly because it was the cheapest option available at the time. The hotel is incredibly well themed and has clearly had a lot of thought put into the design. Everything was very clean, the linen was fresh, the pillows were lovely, and the bed itself was fairly comfortable. However, the main issue is the noise. Because it is right in the centre of York, I was woken up several times during the night by people walking past after drinking in the city. The bed was also very creaky, which added to the noise. For that reason, I probably would not recommend it for light sleepers or anyone needing a really restful night before work. That said, if you are looking for somewhere quirky, fun and memorable for the novelty factor, it is a great place to stay. It is clean, comfortable and brilliantly themed, but you do need to be prepared for the possibility of a noisy night.

This hotel is super unique i doubt you're find to places like this. Extremely themed and surprisingly looks better than the photos.

The hocus pocus is a lovely themed hotel in the centre of York. It's location is extremely central with everything in walking distance. The minister, shambles, Jorvik, Clifton tower are all within a 5 to 10 minute walk. The hotel is a 15 to 20 minute walk from York railway station. The hotel does not have a bar or eating area but you really don't need this as there are multiple options a couple of minutes (or less) from the hotel. The rooms are themed and this is done to a high standard. Due to the location it can be noisy at night but this outside of the hotels control and ear plugs are provided. I will certainly be looking to try and book this hotel again next time I visit York.

Hocus Pocus is a really fun, quirky themed place to stay. We were able to leave our bags prior to check in and the cleaning crew was super helpful with that. We really liked the central location with shopping and food around The Shambles. Room was clean and the fan was helpful when it felt a little stuffy. Overall, we had a great one night stay.

Lovely friendly staff, fantastic, spooky atmosphere and clean, amazing rooms. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to experience a unique experience. Fantastic stay.

Great location close to shambles and the markets

Liked our Librarium room on the whole but needed room on other side of bed to get out but was right up against the wall.Shower cubicle was small and water came out very hot after a few mins and had to jump out.Loved the books and plenty of tea bags,coffee,hot chocolate and biscuits. No room on my side of bed to put a drink or anything.Great location and quiet room.

We had a fantastic stay. The room had everything you could need for your stay. Decorated perfectly, and the whole experience from first opening the door left us appreciative of the effort put in. Thanks to Camelia, our stay was enhanced and supported and we can’t wait to return.

Staff were respectful on arrival and acknowledged when we came even though they were busy cleaning was a bonus to have early check in and the room theme was gorgeous ! it was unique however played in well to the history of york Room was clean and amazing central location. Adorable room, fun theme, perfect location, clean! Only complaint was it was a bit hot and no central air conditioning. We enjoyed our stay in August. The property is aged but sort of goes with the theme. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and would recommend and stay again.
