There was nothing not to like , it’s a very warm and welcoming place , very well run , and happy staff, it was a brilliant stay for us . Maybe sale some Guinness x

The room was really nice and overlooked onto a field which was nice. The staff in particular the lady that checked us in and looked after us during our stay ( sorry I forgot your name) was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, there was a variety of options to choose from if you didn’t fancy a full breakfast and it was fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend it.

The rooms were luxuriously furnished and the hotel overall is very cosy and welcoming. Staff couldn;t do enough to help and the attention to detail was fantastic, everything from bags for walking boots to fresh milk on the landing for in room tea and coffee. A bottle of speciality beer in the room was a bonus.

Have been here once a year for a getaway, and always look forward to the great staff, meals and the warm cozy pub.

Loved out stay at this hotel and restaurant on our final day in the Lakes. We stayed in Scafell Pike with the only negative being the room was very hot (we stayed in late Aug). We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely clean, comfortable, friendly, welcoming hotel in an amazing setting. Room was perfect. Even had a mini fridge to keep your milk in. There was flapjacks and a bottle of beer in the room to enjoy. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked with local ingredients. We will book again.

A lovely country Inn serving great food. Our double room was spacious and very comfortable. There are circular walks directly from the hotel that we sadly didn’t have time to try out, but this only serves as a good reason to come again!

Excellent overnight stay at this lovely hotel/pub. Food was very nice, room was even better! Would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat. A+
