We had an exceptional stay at Casa Malca from start to finish. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. The staff were outstanding throughout our stay—friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everything was perfect. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and their genuine hospitality made a lasting impression. The location was ideal for us: peacefully removed from the busier party areas, yet still conveniently close to a great selection of restaurants, bars, and local attractions. The property itself is beautiful, with its unique design, eclectic artwork, and distinctive character creating a truly memorable atmosphere. Every detail adds to the charm and brings the hotel to life. Breakfast was another highlight. Each morning we enjoyed ordering from a varied menu, and every dish we tried was fresh, well-prepared, and delicious. We genuinely could not fault our experience at Casa Malca. It is a special place that combines luxury, character, and exceptional service, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Beautiful views and property is amazing

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Casa Malca. While the property may lack some of the amenities of other hotels on Tulum Beach Rd., Casa Malca features artworks from the renowned collector Lio Malca’s personal collection in the hotel and around the grounds, so it’s a must for art enthusiasts. Additionally, the staff are all extraordinary, addressing us by name and attending to every detail of our stay.

Our stay at Casa Malca was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for, and that feeling stayed with us throughout our entire stay. The property itself is truly unique — a perfect mix of art, design, and nature. It has a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to disconnect and simply enjoy the surroundings. Every corner of the resort feels thoughtfully curated, yet warm and inviting at the same time. Our room was huge, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. The beds were especially cozy, making it easy to unwind and get a great night’s sleep after long days by the sea. The staff was exceptional — genuinely kind, attentive, and always ready to help. From the front desk team to the restaurant staff and the people working on the beach, everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. The beach was beautiful, with soft sand and stunning views. Even though there were waves during our stay, it only added to the charm and natural beauty of the setting. Overall, Casa Malca is a special place that offers a perfect combination of comfort, tranquility, and character. We left with amazing memories and would absolutely love to return.

Staff was great, the hotel was not too crowded so it was enjoyable.

Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations, especially considering the price point. Housekeeping was not properly carried out. Only the bed linens were changed; the trash was not collected, and the floors were covered with hair, which was quite disappointing in terms of cleanliness. There was only one restaurant open during our stay, and this was not communicated clearly at check-in. We were told that we would be contacted and our phone number was taken, but we were never reached. Although this was our honeymoon, no small gesture or acknowledgment was made, which we found disappointing. Overall, the hotel feels extremely overpriced for what it offers. The room was dark, poorly ventilated, and had an unpleasant smell, making it uncomfortable to stay in for long periods. Service was also inconsistent. Unless a tip was given, it was very difficult to find a waiter, and on some occasions, orders took hours to arrive or never arrived at all. The menu was very limited as well. Overall, this was a very unusual experience, and unfortunately, it did not feel worthy of a destination as special as Tulum.

My room was unique, well appointed, and had an amazing garden/jungle view!! The staff could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. The beach was as beautiful as some I’ve seen in Hawaii and I would highly recommend this cool property!

My stay at Hotel Casa Malca was outstanding. The staff were incredible, and the concierge service was on top of everything — always checking in, always available, and there for us 24/7. The food was excellent, and everything was perfect. I would definitely go back anytime.

We enjoyed our stay in Casa Malca , the hotel is clean and relaxing , the only thing to mention is the food in the hotel , it's really EXPENSIVE and the taste is just OK. But we had lunch and dinner at the hotel next to for half of the price and amazing food .
