Pros: Surrounded by a landscaped golf course. Bath not just a shower. Toiletries in room which included conditioner which isn't always provided. Complementary water and sparkling water Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Good wifi. Cons: No secondary lock on the inside of the door. Hallways smell quite bad and look very tired. Noise from other rooms or hallway overnight was quite easy to hear. Not sure if the walls are thin but it was enough to wake me up. A bit of black mould in the grouting in the bathroom. Excessive messages before arrival was overkill (I think I was sent 7-8 messages in total. It wasn't just 1 or 2.) Having to charge your card with £50 even if you've prepaid. I didn't eat at the hotel so cannot vouch for the food.

Lovely big room, beautiful building, Owston Hall is a perfect place to stay for work in the Yorkshire area.

Used the restaurant twice. Service was very slow. As a result breakfast was like warm for both of us with different menus. Probably the food was standing waiting to be served.

Very comfortable room although wasn’t clear if I was going to be charged for using the shampoo and body wash. Service was excellent, food was great both at dinner and breakfast.
