- The location is probably the best in Bruges and the hotel is in one of the oldest houses. The dining room (used also for a nice breakfast) is a magnificent room, lavishly decorated with large windows on the canal.
- A staff member (Mr. X) handed us the key to find our room ourself with our two suitcases on the second floor (my mother is 93 years old).
- The room was not ready, so we wait in the hallway until it was finished. I am not entirely trusting the cleanness of the room, with one dirty cup, no tissues left after the last one in the box, and the second day, the beds had not been touched or tidied up. Some clean towels were left in the bathroom to signal some room service.
- According to Mr. X, it was impossible to get a reservation for dinner the first night or the following one but as soon as the main Lady arrived, the reservation miraculously happened any day, any time?.... The restaurant was half empty that evening and we were told that the cooks start cleaning the kitchen at 8:30pm and close at 9:00pm.
- The second night, we came back at 10:05pm and we apparently were too late and should have taken the heavy metal room key with us....?
- Bruges is wonderful and two days is perfect to see it all.
