Stayed in the really comfy rooms. Absolutely fabulous, great decoration, loads of space, quiet, clean and crisp fresh linen. I slept better here than I do at home.

Top place, definitely surprised myself and my missus with how nice a stay it was. Great staff, great room, good food and drink. Great location to get into central London too.

Nice property, nice location, most staff are nice some not so nice. Food is not worth the prices, portions are tiny and not cooked very well. We have tried the restaurant several times and have tried a variety of dishes and we have never enjoyed a single meal. I would only book a room in future as a necessity.

Nice touches in the rooms.

A charming Gastropub hotel on the edge of Epping Forest conveniently located near Chingford overground station with direct links to Liverpool St. The hotel is a tudor style timber and white plaster building with stained glass windows amongst many other old world embellishments. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the restaurant a treat with exceedingly helpful and pleasant staff.

The room was very clean and cozy. The manager on reception was very pleasant. I would definately go again. I was upgraded on arrival. Great stay.

Room was very clean, they replaced our linens as needed.

We loved our stay at the Royal Forest! The room was decorated very nicely and clean. The little touches worth the tea/coffee set-up. All of the staff was lovely! The breakfast was a nice touch. We would stay again!

Really nice decor, lovely touches (treats, handwritten note, radio on) plus very attentive and helpful staff. Great building lovely warm, welcoming pub, great selection of drinks. Food good but not outstanding but all perfect for those wishing to enjoy walks in Epping Forest as we were.

Restaurant was great, room small, 3rd floor no lift. 1 mile walk to train. Very quaint.
