This is an unusual property, downstairs is like being inside a ship! Guests bedrooms are upstairs via narrow stairs (no lift). My room was tastefully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. I really like the thought that had gone into details such as special tea bags, a bag of things you might need, water bottle next to bed. The en suite was fine although there was a slight fluctuation to water in the shower. Parking no issue. The cooked to order Breakfast was nicely presented and hot. Limited choices in the breakfast 'help yourself ' buffet and not sure about the bread. The croissants were not fresh ones sadly. The main negative for me was the sound of traffic from the busy road less than 3 metres from front of the building. The traffic continued past 10pm both nights i stayed here and started up again by 6am. The windows were lovely sash style but not double glazed which would have helped.

Small room, but convenient location between Salisbury and Ticehurst. Rooms above pub and restaurant. Good food at good price.

Arrived at 8pm. Manager very rude, told me I had arrived way past check in time which was 3pm and I was lucky I arrived when I did as he was just going home. Also, I was too late if I wanted food. On checking my booking confirmation fro Expedia and The Spice Ship, booking in is until 9.30pm. Room was nice, bed very comfortable. Selection of teas, coffees and a hot chocolate which was nice. Bathroom shaving light didn't work, hot tap loose and dripping. Bathroom bin not emptied from previous guest. Edges of carpets and pictures very dusty. Corners of shower mouldy. Breakfast - water for tea luke warm, orange juice diluted. Good selection of cereals and pastries. Disliked being referred to as 'My Queen' by restaurant staff. Wouldn't stay again.

The rooms could really benefit from some decent double glazing to cut out the traffic noise from the busy road and could you actually get some sleep. The menu could be much improved as all that was on offer was junk food.

Great stop over for the night. Good value and breakfast included. Rooms are small but had everything you needed. Aa its on a main road, you can hear the road traffic but they leave little courtesy packs in the rooms that contain ear plugs and eye mask :)

Firstly when i went to check in i felt i was waiting around for a while rather than someone seeing me, the room itself was noisy with the outside elements coming through the window, in fairness i think the windows need replacing. Staff called time at the bar around 21:45, at around just after 22:00 2 customers were served at the bar even though the other colleagues in the bar including me saying the bar was closed, there needs to be more consistency with what's allowed and not. I also work in a pub it's important to keep customers happy.

We enjoyed our stay at The Spice Ship. It was in a really good location for us and it had parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great and the Sunday roast was the best meal we had had on our 3 week holiday in England! Would stay there again if we are ever back in Weymouth.

We have eaten a few times before ,first time staying and couldn’t fault service , room facilities and price . Only reason why I gave 3 * for comfort is queen beds are too small for a couple in my opinion . Will use again but ask for the room I was recommended this morning. Elana is a great host from greeting in the restaurant or checking us in …. Other staff are lovely but Elana does stand out , great asset to you .

Lovely staff, excellent pub below for a slightly longer stay. We had Portland which was a great size but very warm upstairs. Our room was a dog friendly room, which caused a few allergic reactions, I would say the carpets need a regular deep clean. Otherwise very good order would stay again maybe in another room

Nice hotel, good choice of food but this hotel i next to a main road and was very noisy as the windows unfortunateley do not dampen the volume.

A cracking little room with everything you'd need. Great shower area, fab bed, good parking, Booked a meal and that was fab, too. Lovely friendly staff, absolute 5 star. Just a smidgeon off 5 stars, as the room was really hot. The thoughtfully supplied fan helped, but a small thing in a lovely stay. Well done all.
