Spacious, quiet cabin getaway minutes from Mahone Bay and close to Lunenburg! We enjoyed our stay at the Black Forest Cabins—we had everything we needed and thoroughly enjoyed the spa-like bathroom in our cabin. Wish we would have had time to check out the sauna, but we were only there for one night at the end of our Nova Scotia trip. Would definitely stay again!

The room was gorgeous in every detail, the owners have a great sense of style and they know how to create a comfortable experience. The location was great for convenience, shops and food in a nice little town, especially if you’re driving from Peggy’s Cove, stopping in Mahone Bay, then on to Lunenburg and beyond. The sauna was also a nice bonus. A friend of ours who lives in Halifax recommended we have dinner at Betty’s on the patio, and we were able to walk there in about three minutes from our cabin. The food and service and garden patio were delightful. Highly recommend Black Forest Cabins if you need a place to stay in Mahone Bay. The photos provided by the owners are accurate down to the small details.

Beautiful spa like cabins. Perfect location, adjacent to hiking/bike trials and walking distance into town. Wish I had booked extra nights, this place is idyllic.

Amazing stay! Super close to all the shops and restaurants and a nice drive to Lunenberg, Ovens and Halifax! The sauna was lovely too. Highly recommend!

Fun accomodation and setting! Love the skylight.

These cabins are nestled among trees, with a board walking connecting one cabin to the next. The design feels Scandinavian and is very clever, providing everything one might need. There are drawers but no closets. The room and bathroom are spacious. The place includes a beverage refrigerator, a sink, and place settings.

Cool Scandi vibe. Clean simple aesthetic with stylish touches.

Very nice accommodation. Private , clean , unique and roomy. Yet close to the centre of town. Our best stay yet while visiting the Maritimes. I now post only on the nice stays and this is one of them.

This property exceeded expectations! It was so fantastic to thoroughly enjoy the quiet getaway in such cozy surroundings. The little extras (variety of teas, plump cushions, cozy throws, reading lamp and corner chair) really made us feel pampered. We enjoyed the sauna, short walk to the Main Street and variety of restaurants. Theses owners are experts in hospitality.

Cute, clean little cabin with modern amenities

The cabin is beautiful and very clean. My only complaint is the location - close to a rather busy and noisy road.

Amazing cabins, whoever designed and decorated these units did an excellent job! The furniture, the bed and the bathroom are tastefully done. The cabin is super clean and included, coffee and water bottles. I highly recommend Black Forest Cabins, didn’t want to leave to go to my next destination.

I loved this little cabin in the woods as well as the area it's in. The is a quaint little village about 3 minutes away. I would definitely come back ☺️

We enjoyed our stay at The Black Forest, despite the cold and rain. The cabin was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed, but it would have been nice to have a microwave and freezer; however, we knew there wasn't either when we booked - just a comment really. We felt like we were in the woods, yet we were close enough to walk to several restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay at the Cabins again.

However, room was pristine and just exactly as described. The decor was outstanding in the space was very welcoming. It fit our needs perfectly. The setting is amazingly quiet for being very close to the road. Traffic becomes far less at night and noise was not an issue. Close to Mahone Bay and easy to access. We would use it again.

Cabins were really cute. The bed was super comfortable and the amenities were great. Would have liked to have had a least a microwave to reheat food tho. Another suggestion would be a table or shelving in the bathroom to place personal toiletries on. Location was wonderful, close to shops and restaurants but gave the feeling of being away from the hustle. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The room was comfortable and the location was nice. The only issue was there was no space in the bathroom for toiletries.
