Everything is good about the hotel but the location is not very convenient. It takes about 30 minutes walk to the reef boat ports and 20 minutes to the downtown.

Breakfast was very good and if you were a big breakfast person you would struggle to eat what was on offer and it was fresh

The hotel seemed to be a high-end hotel which had fallen on harder times. In one room, neither of the bedside lights on one side worked. The handyman tried several different bulbs, but said the problem needed an electrician. (No idea if one was ever called - the lights were not fixed while we were there.)
In our next room, the led light of one of the bedside lights did not work. (Each bed had a traditional bedside light and below it a flexible led light.)
Lampshades were old and cracked on the more traditional bedside lights.

The hotel is quite tired and a little run down. The cleaning wasn't very good, the bathroom floor was a bit sticky and the doors and walls were quite grimy. There's not enough lighting which made reading difficult. The breakfast was very good and varied. The staff were friendly and helpful with any enquiries. The pool temperature was a little cold and could've done with 4-5 degrees higher and the spa way too cold.

I paid a premium rate for a room that was in a state of disrepair. I booked the premium sea view double room. I filled in the check in andadvised te breakfast card had been filled in by the previous guest and the fridge had a terrible smell when it was opened. The hotel manager called me the following day and offered me a courtesy buffet breakfast. The buffet breakfast was terrible. The bacon was rubbery and dry, we closed the lid of the scrambled eggs straight away as they presented so badly. The juice was watered down and both the coffee machine and the coffee in a flask was undrinkable. We stuck with fruit toast and tea. The server looked like she had been crying. The next day I paid for a coffee in the bar area. A different server took my order, I paid and then she disappeared for 20 minutes. I was left sitting alone in the bar waiting for my coffee. She later returned and noticed me sitting there and made my coffee and told me she forgot.
Throughout my three night stay, further maintenance was reported. The air con was leaking, I received a return email to say that maintenance would attend. I then discovered that the shower head would not stay up along with several other maintenance items reported in the same email. The shower head was replaced by maintenance without us approving access or being notified that they were attending. I notified the hotel manager but received no reply. I am very disappointed that this room was available to book as it was in such a state

Everything was great for the price per day we paid. Looks like on of the older original hotels in Caitns but well cared for and kept. Lovely stay and one of the best ocean views from the 6th floor

Unfortunately, it was a very quick overnight visit arriving late and leaving early. I had no chance to use the pool that looked particularly inviting in the morning. The choice of breakfast was good. My room was clean and airy with all the expected amenities.

We had a great stay! My only complaint is the lack of variety in the breakfast buffet. We only stayed 4 days, and it was the same stuff every morning 😞 other than that, it was an awesome stay! Great location, great pool and awesome staff!

Great location; very close to the beach, several restaurants and shopping.
The rooms are are very clean, but note they are not large; little to no space for storing clothes, we left ours in suitcases on the floor. There is a kettle, tea and instant coffee which is nice, as well as mugs and wine glasses and a fridge.

The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable.
The view from the room was awesome.
The food menu was very limited and in my opinion very expensive.
Drinks were also expensive.
The pool looks great and there were plenty of people swimming and lounging around the pool.

Property along the Esplanade but almost 2 miles from the Marina and shopping. Fitness facility is OFFSITE and a 10 minute walk. Rooms are very basic, although good size. Tubs (showers) are very difficult to get in and out and the faucets dripped constantly
