Front counter staff very friendly. Took care my mom at room. Complaint- breakfast egg station not ready at 7am, staff at breakfast counter not friendly fly at breakfast foods room air cond at living hall noisy.

The bed is curvy at the middle. The air conditioner is noisy in turbo mode. A bit noisy at night due to traffic nearby. Vut the room for 3 is spacious, should improve.

Paka is located about 100 kilometres to the south of Kuala Terengganu and it is known as a coastal town facing the South China Sea in the state of Terengganu, Malaysia. This town is popularly known as the home for the largest power station in Malaysia run by the national power company, Tenaga Nasional and also listed as the third place in Malaysia with the highest living cost. Currently, SPNB Terengganu liaison officer announces that there is a mega housing project being launched. Hence, there is going to be an easy access to the East Coast Expressway Phase Two in Paka. As the new developed houses are located only five kilometres away from Paka, they are very close to all amenities such as schools, police station, fire station and commercial business centre in the town. This makes Paka a busy town, thriving on oil and gas activity near Kerteh.

How to Get There

By Car

From Kuala Lumpur city centre, you can reach Paka by using Segamat-Kuantan highway which takes around 5 hours and 25 minutes. This road has tolls and users can take tickets manually or use TouchnGo.

By Plane

There are flights available from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Sultan Mahmud airport such as Air Asia and Malaysia Airlines which takes less than an hour. Once you reach the airport, there are taxi and rental cars available for you to go to Paka and the journey consumes another 1 hour and 45 minutes via Berang road.

Teluk Bidara Beach

Located approximately around 45 minutes away from Paka town, this beach provides a perfect and amazing holiday setting for family and friends. The beach also nestled near the traditional fishing village of Kampung Seberang Pintasan which is about 20 kilometres from Dungun. The turquoise-blue oceans and crystal-clear water have been the attraction to local and international tourists. There is also a lanai-style gazebo where one could climb up for better view of the lovely ocean and snap as many pictures of the amazing scenery.

Rantau Abang

Rantau Abang is a small village which used to be known for its Leatherback Sea Turtle nesting. It is located 22 kilometres north of Kuala Dungun and 80 kilometres south of Kuala Terengganu as well as 48 minutes away from Paka town. Every year during the months of May to August, the turtles would come ashore and lay their eggs. However, the number of sea turtles that lay their eggs has severely decreased in recent years. The Turtle and Marine Ecosystem Centre has been set up in Rantau Abang to act as conservation reserve for these turtles. On a different note, most part of the beaches is safe for swimming although some are restricted by the Fisheries Department for turtle conservation purposes. The beach is open for all kind of beach activities such as beach volleyball, picnic, kite flying and camping.
