The second time staying at Harper Wahid Hasyim Medan became an unforgettable moment. The hotel still served its customers very well, which the staffs were friendly and helpful. A high appreciation should go to Miss Mashuri (the receptionist) who still served all customers professionally. Her smile and eagerness to help were on her face. In the middle of COVID 19 moments of social distancing, she always kept reminding the guests to maintain the health protection procedure.

This hotel can't be beaten for its price point. From outside you'd think the hotel size is fairly small. Once you get inside however, things are even better than meets the eye. I was surprised by the room size and ambiance. I ordered the Superior one. It has a nice big view towards the city. The TV is also nice it's a smart TV. The breakfast is okay though. I think the breakfast choice is not that varied, but the taste is good enough for me. Absolutely recommend this hotel.

The location is best, with so many cafe and eating place surrounding it. Price also good considering it is with breakfast. Breakfast menu with good variety, although in our opinion, coffee can be little bit thicker considering we are in Medan not Java. Bed is always comfortable but this time our room is not soundproof. We can hear our neighbor through the connecting door. Need to keep reminding all guest to have noise down when walking in the hotel alley to their room or while waiting for lift. So far…. We stayed in an upgraded deluxe non-smoking room. The shower water was cold, and wouldn't heat up (for 2 days), even after it was repaired. This hotel can't be beaten for its price point. From outside you'd think the hotel size is fairly small. Once you get inside however, things are even better than meets the eye. I was surprised by the room size and ambiance. I ordered the Superior one. It has a nice big view towards the city. The TV is also nice it's a smart TV. The breakfast is okay though. I think the breakfast choice is not that varied, but the taste is good enough for me. Absolutely recommend this hotel.

Check in was almost 15.30 and we were still told to wait 30 minutes. The non-smoking room was sprayed with freshener to remove the cigarette smell. The cigarette smell in the room was still faintly noticeable, especially the next day.

The location is best, with so many cafe and eating place surrounding it. Price also good considering it is with breakfast. Breakfast menu with good variety, although in our opinion, coffee can be little bit thicker considering we are in Medan not Java. Bed is always comfortable but this time our room is not soundproof. We can hear our neighbor through the connecting door. Need to keep reminding all guest to have noise down when walking in the hotel alley to their room or while waiting for lift. So far…. In our perspective as a local that stayed here for an event nearby, we actually didn't expect anything more than a place to sleep. But the experience was quite decent. We stayed in an upgraded deluxe non-smoking room. The shower water was cold, and wouldn't heat up (for 2 days), even after it was repaired.
