Heaven in the earth is here.
I will back to Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa, Bali. thank you.
Had a great time at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel
Great hotel with spacious pool
We were staying at this hotel that is near to the conference venue at BNDCC, only 5' walking distance. It has great (traditional) view. Many couples took their pre-wedding pics from many countries. The food yet are not quite good though for local tongue.
Old but nice hotel Good location Nice beach
Great hotel, location and ambience

Definately not 5 star
Spent 9 nights at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spar in August. Travelled with family booked three rooms. The single room was in a separate block and quite a walk away from the other two. The rooms were much the same very tired especially the bathrooms. The beds were comfortable with very good pillows. The service from the room boys was very hit and miss, they seemed stretched because the hotel was full. Tea and coffee not replaced most days. After 5 days 2 dressing gowns appeared in our wardrobe the other 2 rooms had them from day one. The breakfast was very good for the first 3 days until the dinning room was closed for refurbishment and breakfast was moved to the outside in a rather cramped area. The first day was rather chaotic trying to get a cup of tea was beyond difficult. It did improve however and although tables were far too close together and it felt very crowded the service improved. There were 2 pools both were very nice although the surrounding area was lethal when wet and we witnessed a few people slipping over obviously no health and safety. The sun beds were also in short supply and not enough for all the guests to have one, however, they did have mattresses that you could put on the grass to lay on if you didn't get a bed, not very five star! The constant parade of brides having their photographs taken was a bit over the top although it didn't spoil our relaxation. On walking along the beach path to the Bali Collection it was pretty obvious that the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel was the poor relation and explains why it is on offer all the time in the UK On the positive side the staff were always very polite and helpful. The gardens were beautifully maintained and it was a relaxing environment.

Nearly perfect
Pros: Gardens and beach Stunning- they even clean up leaves on the beach Breakfast- plentiful and good quality Location- private and quiet. Great place to stay if you want to get away from manic Kuta. Cons: Prices- massively overpriced drinks and food which put us off eating or drinking in the resort. London prices for everything Not personal- massive resort with no personality No entertainment - unless you want to pay In summary- absolutely beautiful with no soul!

Perfect Perfect Perfect!
This hotel has without doubt exceeded my expectations. The location, staff, food and room are perfect! We are almost at the end of our best ever holiday and it is in no small part thanks to the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa. The food in the hotel has been wonderful, breakfast is superb, lunch in Tamarind delicious and even the room service faultless. The staff can't do enough for you and are always friendly and polite, nothing is too much trouble. Our room is beautiful with the biggest bed I think we have ever slept in. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough and encourage you to try it if you can.

Average hotel, felt ripped off most of the time
First, I would like to start with a piece of advice which is, in my opinion, quite important when staying at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel. The hotel has a "transportation" desk at the lobby where one can arrange transportation to the Bali Connection shopping center or to "downtown" Nusa Dua. When asking for a taxi, please make sure you ask for a "blue taxi". If you do not mention this, they will get you one of their hotel shuttles which cost 5 times (!!!) more than a regular taxi. For example, their hotel "taxis" cost 150k to Bali Connection, but a regular taxi only charges 30k! The food and drink prices at the hotel are completely unreasonable too. A small beer costs with gov. taxes and service charges more than 75k. Outside at a grocery store, one pays about 16k to 20k max. We recommend shopping for drinks outside, then storing them in the minibar of your room. As for the room, we had booked a deluxe room with garden view, which was big enough and very clean. We had read many negative reviews about run-down bathrooms, but ours was great. No complaint there. The pool area, however, needs to be renewed and rethought, in my opinion. The hotel doesn't offer enough sun loungers for the amount of guests and these loungers are quite old, dirty and uncomfortable. Around the entire pool area, they have put some extremely slippery tiles and people continiously slip and fall on them. Super dangerous! Also, it seems like the German guests bring their horrible "reserve a lounger at 6AM" habit to Bali. Most chairs are reserved but remain empty for hours. Management really needs to step in here and remove toweld after 30min if the guests do not show up. It is very frustrating for the guests who actually want to lay out by the pool! Also, the pool is piss warm and some areas of the pool have a sand floor. Both are hygenic no-go's and create a paradise for germs and bacteria. Yuck! Next point: the Internet! I udnerstand that the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel is a big resort but I haven't had such bad Internet since 1997! If one is lucky enough to have Internet, then it is so slow that pages or pictures don't load. Totally unacceptable for a 4-5 star resort. Finally, I found the staff at the hotel to be less friendly than the average Balinese service staff. Overall, we didn't really like our stay here, but for us it was a great starting point for our trips to Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Penida, and the Gilis. Most tour companies offer free pick-up and drop-off in the Nusa Dua area, which is why we had picked this hotel.
