Enjoyed a fabulous stay at the Nohga Hotel in Ueno. This is a smaller boutique type hotel that sits in a very quiet area but just 5 minutes from the Ueno Station. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, including a selection of toiletry supplies which was very helpful when one of suitcases arrived late. There is a nice pop up bar in a comfortable lounge to relax with very reasonable prices. The coin operated laundry was also very convenient. Overall, they made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!

The front desk staff were very kind and courteous. The Pop Up bar was a really cool concept with a good drink selection. The room was clean and the amenties offered in the lobby were very helpful.

Elegant hotel with lovely breakfasts and very helpful staff. I used the laundry machines once and they were reasonably priced and available (no cut-throat competition from other guests, as I've seen at other hotels in Japan). Nearby Ueno subway station is handy but also huge, so just remember: exit no.3 is your friend if you're staying at the Nohga!

Nohga Hotel was lovely. It was quiet & quaint. Very close to the Ueno train station (8 minute walk) & steps from the 7-11 & Lawson. The rooms are very roomy compared to Tokyo rooms. Exceptionally clean & beds were very comfortable. Beautiful restaurant downstairs but unfortunately did not eat there but it was always busy. Highly recommended.

It was a little bit of an exploration finding the hotel using Google map. The small gym was cleaned and air-conditioned on the 2nd floor. The laundry and dryer were a little pricy compared to other hotel chain but that could be because of the area. The front desk service were excellent! The rooms were cleaned and simple for a maximum of 2 per room. The areas of improvements are as followed: 1. Welcome coins for refreshments should not only be per occupants but also per night of stay. 2. It would have been nice that the coupons/ discounts we also applicable for breakfast and not just cafe time or dinner. 3. French cuisine dinner were more eye stimulating and tailored for adults than teens or family. 4. Allow restaurant meals to be serviced to rooms. 5. Accurate billing from the restaurant - the error was caught upon check-out.

I felt really safe in this neighborhood. The hotel is well maintained but the smallest room is really small, if there are two adults in the same room it can feel crowded because the sink is in the room and the toilet is next to the bed . We had to upgrade our room and it was much better, the toilet was separated from the shower and separated from the bed area. Also the hotel is walking distance to Ueno Station which makes you feel connected to everything. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping centers, Ueno park and many more. I definitely would stay here again

The property itself wasn’t bad. The bed wasn’t super comfortable and the location wasn’t great. The staff is nice and the rooms aren’t small but too many community shared amenities for me. Going to another floor to iron clothes is a bit much.
