No one in this hotel speak any english. It takes alot of effort from us for them to understand our hand signs and google translate. Be warned! The doors of the room can't be locked when you are in the room and the hotel staff don't even know how to explain or lock it. Their *tours/ticket assistance* is an inflated addition to their *services provided* as they don't provide any tours. All they only did was call a hotline to order taxi (which even cafe/restaurant did a much better job) after we spend minutes of pointing to our picture for them to understand that we wanted to go to the place and for them to finish whatever they have to do. The taxi price is also much higher than what a nearby cafe/restaurant would give you. Guest service staff are unfriendly even to russian speaking guest and sometimes they are unwilling to help unless there is alot of profit in it. There was this occasion when this big plump guy who walked over acted like he wanted to help and acted like he speak english when he doesn't while we were talking to the reception and gave us twice the amount the receptionist gave us and tried to insult our intelligence by reprimanding the receptionist infront of us and act like nothing happened. This is a hotel who would milk every guest they could and they do not care about their guest unlike hotels around the world so do yourself a favor and give it a miss. We would have avoided them if someone had warned us too! Don't make the same mistake we made!

This is a great hotel for the value. The room was spacious, and there's free wi-fi and a complimentary breakfast buffet in the adjoining restaurant. It's conveniently located near several bus stops and a metro station; there are also a couple of ATMs in walking distance, including a KazKomertsBank ATM that can dispense US dollars (located one block west of Abai and Baitursynov, next to the "Palace of Sport.") Lots of places to eat too, ranging from Thai food to a burger stand on the corner. International travelers should be aware that most of the staff don't speak English or speak only a little, so be prepared to try your Russian or Kazakh with them. Not luxurious, but comfy and convenient for a great price.

A well-priced spacious double room with TV, good shower, separate sitting area. Breakfast and dinner were included and quite comprehensive. The staff speak little English but were generally helpful. Close to the main art gallery, football stadium and some decent bars and eateries. The metro is just a few minutes down the street.

I've arrived in time, but in reception I was informed that they don't have the appropriate room, which I booked in advance and offered more expensive room. Despite of my protests they couldn't offer something else, so I had to stay there, because it was too late to seek another hotel, so I spent whole evening and night in unpleasant mood. Next morning I left this place.

The hotel itself is modest, but clean and comfortable. What I was most pleased about was that it is near a stop on the brand-new subway line, so I was easily able to go to see the sights in the city center and other areas. Otherwise, it's a good walk to the city center.

Hotel is a little structure in "Soviet Union" style. Hostel should be better definition of this hotel even if rooms are big. I arrived early morning and my room was available. On the check-out they required me to leave room at 5 AM in order to balance the arrival. No services even if staff is polite. Location is not good but there is a Metro station at 5 minutes walking distance.
