How to Get to Apps Hotel Kuala Selangor
Travelling to the Apps Hotel Kuala Selangor is easy especially if by driving. It will take about an hour worth of driving from Shah Alam and also the Kuala Lumpur city centre via the Guthrie Corridor Highway. The Apps Hotel is located in the middle of the Kuala Selangor town. For those who prefer to travel by bus, there are several locations in Selangor and also Kuala Lumpur that have buses going to Kuala Selangor on daily basis. For those who are in Kuala Lumpur, they may take the bus from the Medan Pasar Bus Hub and get onto the red-coloured, Selangor Bus no 100. This bus will depart every half an hour from 6.30 am until 7.30 pm every day. The trip will take about two hours and the fare is just RM 9.00 for one-way. This bus will stop at the Bandar Malawati Bus Terminal, just a kilometre away from the town of Kuala Selangor and to reach it, one can hop on the taxi available that cost about RM 5 for a trip. Alternatively, one can choose simply to walk to the town centre that will take about fifteen to twenty minutes. There are no other public transportations in the town of Kuala Selangor thus it is recommended to have a car to move around.

There are only two types of room at the Apps Hotel; the Superior and the Deluxe. All of the rooms at the Apps Hotel are equipped with basic amenities such as a flat-screen television with national channels, a minibar and an in-room safe. The rooms also have a writing desk and a chair. Though the rooms at the Apps Hotel do not have any coffee/tea maker set, they do have an electric kettle and complimentary bottled water. The rooms do not have any Wi-Fi connections. The first room at the hotel, the Superior room starts from RM 75 a night and this has a single Twin-sized bed. A Superior room with two Twin-sized beds is at RM 105 a night and it is the same price for a Deluxe room that has one Queen-sized bed. All of the rooms at the Apps Hotel are non-smoking.

The facilities at the hotel are limited. There are free Wi-Fi connections at the public locations of the hotel. There is a food court at the ground level of the hotel and the eateries choices are great. There is a steamboat restaurant on the top floor of the hotel that is a favourite. The hotel also provides spa services including Jacuzzi and reflexology. Apart from that, the hotel does have boat tours to the firefly sanctuary that is one of the best tourist attractions at Kuala Selangor.

Firefly Sanctuary - Kuala Selangor is well-known for its firefly sanctuary and it is the best tourist attraction there. The sanctuary of the fireflies is located in a small village of Kampung Kuantan, just ten minutes away from the Apps Hotel Kuala Selangor. There is also another place in Kuala Selangor that is also a perfect location to view the fireflies, the Kampung Belimbing and it is slightly further than Kampung Kuantan from the hotel. For those who are interested in viewing the fireflies, it is best to visit these two locations at 7.30 pm to join the river cruise. The river cruise is done on a non-motorised canoe as the sound of the motor will scare the fireflies. A ticket for the cruise will cost RM 10 per person and it last from half an hour to 45 minutes. Every one of the cruises is required to wear the provided life jacket during the ride.
