I like staying at this hotel. The location is very strategic, near the train station, bus terminal, central market, various cafes and restaurants, Merdeka Square, Petaling, Jamik Mosque, and more places for sightseeing. The hotel staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the breakfast menu is limited but quite good for just breakfast, because there are lots of cafes and restaurants around the hotel.

Room is good and price is affordable. The hotel is also very close with pasar seni station, pasar seni central market and petaling street. The only down side is the toilet which is very small.

The air conditioner was very noisy. I had difficulty sleeping comfortably. Moreover, the bed was not flat and seems very old already, It 's time to replace it with a new one.

About

Chinatown is situated at the heart of Kuala Lumpur surrounded by glamorous landmarks such as KLCC and Bukit Bintang. Chinatown is based in Petaling Street which is also known as 'Chee Cheong Kai' (Starch Factory Street), a reference to its roots as a tapioca-producing district. This place is undoubtedly one of the most popular tourist spots in Malaysia. This place is also a well-known bargain hunter’s paradise, a place where you can find all sorts of stuff from Chinese herbs to imitation goods and at night, its main market area, Petaling Street, transforms into a lively and vibrant night market. There is almost everything here from clothes, souvenirs to electronic items to fabrics. Other than cheap stuff, Petaling Street is renowned for selling imitation goods like handbags, wallets, watches and shoes from brands like Adidas, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Nike and many more.

How to Get There

By Car

From Kuala Lumpur city centre, it takes around 7 minutes to Chinatown by using Damansara road. You can use Kuala Lumpur- Putrajaya road from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Chinatown which consumes around 45 minutes.

Central Market

It is actually located in this building called the Pasar Seni and nestled exactly at the side of Kasturi Walk at Pasar Seni. This place is only a short walking distance away from the popular Chinatown (Petaling Street) of Kuala Lumpur. In addition to that, the KL Sentral rail station is only 1.5 kilometres away from the market, thus providing easy access to the KL International Airport. The Central Market is full of stalls which sell handicrafts which are all locally made such as batik, songket, wood carvings, souvenirs and accessories. Tourists are mostly attracted to its variety of handicrafts, art, kebaya, songket, batik and authentic Malaysian souvenirs. A Batik Emporium houses well-known designer labels, with the best Malaysian-made batik items ranging from clothes, shoes, bags to home furnishing. The Central Market Outdoor Stage is where visitors can catch colourful arts and cultural events. The Annexe Gallery, located at the back of Central Market is a popular venue for events such as film screenings, art exhibitions and public discourses.

Kuala Lumpur Bird Park

The Bird Park was part of the Lake Gardens back then but the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park itself was only established back in 1991. Other attractions of the Lake Gardens include the Butterfly Park Kuala Lumpur, the Orchid and Hibiscus Gardens, The National Monument and an artificial lake. The KL Bird Park is located in the scenic Perdana Botanical Gardens which is only 10 minutes away from the Kuala Lumpur city centre. Home to more than 3,000 birds of 200 local and foreign bird species, the main feature that distinguishes KL Bird Park from other bird parks is the concept of free-flight. Among the bird species available here is Mandarin ducks, hawk eagles, hornbills, ostriches and other birds. The free-flight, walk-in aviary has over 60 species of local and foreign birds, including the Indian blue peacock with its colourful five-foot train, and the crowned pigeon which is the largest pigeon species in the world.
