About

Cheras is one huge district of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The township is located to the south-east of Kuala Lumpur. Cheras is neighbouring to Ampang on the north side and Kajang on the south side. Cheras are separated into two; Cheras Kuala Lumpur and Cheras Selangor. Cheras is generally resided by Malays, Chinese and Indian which every race speaks their own language; Malay, Mandarin and Tamil language. The various races residents can peacefully practise own religions such as Islam, Buddha, Hindu and Christian. Cheras is now a fast developing town where a lot of office complexes, apartments, shopping malls are built and opened. Due to its rapid development, Cheras has recently been so crowded and encountered heavy traffic jam. Though there are numbers of train stations built in Cheras, it is still crowded with cars and motorcycles for it now has few popular attractions to visit and it is also an undisputedly convenient place to live in.

How to Get There

By Train

From Kuala Lumpur International Airport, get the train; either ERL or KL Express, straight to Bandar Tasik Selatan. Get off from the train and hail a taxi to your destination in Cheras. From Subang Airport, get a taxi to the nearest train station. Take the train that heads off to Masjid Jamek. Then, at Masjid Jamek change to another train that heads off to Cheras.

By Bus

From Kuala Lumpur city to Cheras, take the bus with route number; either T300, T301, T302, T303, T304, T350, T351 or T352. The buses head to different destinations in Cheras, therefore, confirm with the driver before you ride any of the buses to ensure you reach your location.

Cheras Sentral

Attached to Silka Hotel building, Cheras Sentral is a new shopping mall upgraded and renovated from the previous mall known as Plaza Phoenix. Located in Taman Len Sen, it is easily accessed for it is located just by the busy road side as well as opposite to a Taman Connaught train station. Other than housing a few famous brands, it also features TGV cinema.

Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest

Nested in 43100 Hulu Langat, Selangor, Sungai Congkak is one popular hideaway among the locals to escape from hectic city. Sungai Congkak can be reached within 30 minutes driving from Cheras. The cold water running free and the green lush forest offer great relaxation for the locals to release their stresses on weekends.
