Just nice. Staff is ok. But for me, the room is a bit small plus no TV and WIFI password. Other than that, everything is ok.

In the website state that already allocate customer parking but in the reality it is not. Secondly, the air conditioner not functioning at all. Thirdly, the bedsheets dirt (have blood stain).

About

Gelugor is an area situated at the southern suburb of George Town in Penang and lies along the eastern seaboard of Penang Island, between Jelutong and Sungai Dua, and nearly 5 kilometres south of George Town. It is named after a plant species, Garcinia atroviridis known in Malay as asam gelugor. Historically, this area had been populated as early as the late 18th century by Malay fishermen who arrived here from Sumatra and was then given the area for agricultural plantations by David Brown, a partner of Captain Francis Light. In 1985, the Penang Bridge that connects Gelugor with the Malay Peninsula was completed. The development of residential estates at Gelugor began in the 1960s, originally to house civil servants. The first university which is the Penang was founded in 1969, before being relocated to the former Minden Barracks in 1971. The university has since been renamed Universiti Sains Malaysia which is now one of the high ranked public universities in Malaysia.

Penang Hill

Penang Hill was the first colonial hill station developed in Peninsular Malaysia and located 6 kilometres away from Georgetown. Comprising Western Hill, Bukit Laksamana, Tiger Hill, Flagstaff Hill and Government Hill, it is set 821 metres above Bukit Bendera. It is the last patch of tropical rainforest in Penang so the flora and fauna here have been protected since 1960. Penang Hill comprises a hilly granite mass in the middle of Penang Island reaching an elevation of 833 meters (2723 ft) at Western Hill. Apart from Western Hill, the other peaks that form Penang Hill include Bukit Laksamana, Tiger Hill, Bukit Bendera and Bukit Kerajaan.

Penang Street Art

Located around 17 minutes away from Gelugor, there is a famous street art that can be found along Muntri streets. The artist which is known as Zacharevic had created its popular mural, the 20-foot high ‘Little Girl In Blue’, a mural of a young child dressed in ocean blue pyjamas flanked by the two real windows of its ‘canvas’. The second piece is called ‘Little Boy with Pet Dinosaur’ a funny coloured-image of a young child with an outline sketch of a dinosaur on a leash. Besides that, Zacharevic’s other designs include a piece named ‘Reaching Up’ on Cannon Street, a fresco of a young boy reaching up to a pot of real flowers on a window sill. In addition, there is a painting along Armenian Street called ‘Little Children on a Bicycle’, which is similar to the ‘Boy on a Bike’, only instead of a motorbike, the prop is a bicycle. Found just down the road from Eastern & Oriental Hotel, brightly-coloured trishaws can take you to see unique artworks around Georgetown. Prices start at about RM80 for a one-hour ride but you can whittle it down to a mere RM40 for a 30-minute journey.
