The hotel was awesome as the beds & bathroom were clean. Nearby were also food shop & groceries for purchase as per government mandated hours as the whole country were under lockdown due to covid19.

Receptionist dan staff tak jujur, barang i tinggal di dalam bilek die chek bilik mase check out sampai kebawah katil tak kan tak tengok baju i di gantung belakang pintu, orang bukan tinggal kat sane mesti die bagi lah barang pengunjung hotel, biar dapat kepercayaan dari cust. Tanjung Malim is a town in Muallim District, Perak, located at the south of Perak Darul Ridzuan bordering Selangor Darul Ehsan and topographically bordering Pahang Darul makmur. It is approximately 70 km north of Kuala Lumpur and 120 km south of Ipoh via the North–South Expressway. Having the Titiwangsa Range as its background and the Bernam River to its side, Tanjong Malim is an interesting gateway town into Perak to visit. Tanjong Malim has always been known as the Education Town where the Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (Sultan Idris Education University) located here. Tanjong Malim also has the potential of becoming a developed town at the southern of Perak. Based on the existing economic activities and industrial planning such as the automobile, agricultural and manufacturing, Tanjung Malim is predicted to become a rapidly developed city at the southern Perak. This was strengthened by the construction of the national car factory, Proton in Bandar Proton (Proton Town), together with the development of new housing projects, recreational facilities and others.

How to Get There

By Plane

Tanjung Malim is accessible by air through regular scheduled direct flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA2) to Penang Airport and Johor Airport to Ipoh Airport. Alternatively, flight from Singapore to Ipoh is also available via Firefly and Tiger Air. From airport you may take taxi to reach Tanjung Malim.

By Car

Tanjung Malim is accessible by road from the capital Kuala Lumpur or South Peninsular via the North-South Expressway and exit at Tanjung Malim. The travel from Kuala Lumpur to Tanjung Malim would only take a one hour scenic drive. If driving from Ipoh or North Peninsular, use North-South Expressway and exit at Behrang. It only takes about 1 hour 31 minutes from Ipoh to Tanjung Malim.

By Bus

Using almost similar route and travel time taken by car or taxi, bus is an alternative transportation to get to Tanjung Malim. If travel from South Peninsular, one need to transit at Puduraya Bus Terminal, Kuala Lumpur and choose the following bus company to get to Tanjung Malim.

By Train

You may take KTM or ETS from KL Sentral to reach Tanjung Malim. Tanjung Malim KTM serves Tanjong Malim town, providing ETS/Intercity and Komuter services. Tanjong Malim constituency also contains another three stations in Behrang, Slim River and Sungkai, with only limited ETS and freight services.

Strata Waterfalls

If you are looking for a nice place to relax with a beautiful, clean and not crowded, Strata Waterfalls is an ideal place to visit while in Tanjung Malim. Strata waterfall located near Proton city in Tanjung Malim. It is the place that indeed very impressive with falls that consist a lot of trail. Truly magnificent because it is everything a waterfall should have. The water was crystal clear, very soothing and perfect for swimming.

Proton City

Here is the boom for Tanjung Malim, which was almost dying at one time. Now, Proton City is beckoning to Malaysians who want to live in bungalows by a beautiful lake and with good facilities, besides the numerous job opportunities that the city offers with the setting up of the Proton plant here that manufactures some 75,000 cars annually.

Lata Sungai Bil

Lata Sungai Bil is a famous picnic area for locals and visitors from outside the Tanjung Malim. The pristine river and tranquil atmosphere had drawn in visitors to have picnics and to bathe in this river. Lata Sungai Bil is also famous to those who like camping, jungle trekking, fishing, picnicking and others. Various facilities are provided here such as public hall, car parking lot, food and beverage outlets and also rest houses for the comfort of the visitors.

Sungai Klah Hot Spring Park

Natural and curative, this hot spring has been turned into a resort, where jacuzzis utilizing the hot spring water is available for some of the chalets here. It is nestled in lush forest patches, surrounded by hills and clear cold mountain streams and rivers.

Sultan Idris Teaching University

The Sultan Idris Teaching University is a tribute to the Sultan Idris Training College for Malay teachers, founded in 1917 by the Malay Federated States and Straits Settlement assistant director of education, R.O. Winstedt. Its establishment was to ensure adequately trained teachers were available for the education of locals in Malaya. The college, now a university, has since become an icon for this town and is a tourist attraction.
