Bayu Marina Resort is a four-star hotel located in Johor Bahru. Instead of hotels and accommodation facing the Tebrau Straits, the Bayu Marina Resort takes on a different view of Johor Bahru. The hotel is at the bank of the Sungai Tebrau. The location is much more relaxing and unique compared to the hotels in the city. The hotel is just ten minutes from the city centre, half an hour drive to reach the Johor Premium Outlets and another ten minutes to reach the Senai International Airport, which is the only airport in Johor. The Bayu Marina Resort has received good ratings with its guests loving the great value for money and the spacious rooms. Do note that the hotel rooms are more like studios and apartments homestays instead of the typical hotel room.
How to Get to Bayu Marina Resort
The Bayu Marina Resort is in Johor Bahru, a fast-developing state. There are numbers of ways to get to Johor Bahru, both by private and public transportations. For those who prefer driving, Johor Bahru is some three hours and twenty minutes from Kuala Lumpur via the North-South Highway though the time may differ depending on the current traffics. Another option to travel to Johor is by bus and from the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan, the trip will take a longer time which is usually around four hours and twenty minutes. The bus ticket starts from RM 34 one-way. the bus will stop at the Larkin Sentral which is just eight kilometres away from the Bayu Marina Resort. From the Larkin Sentral, one may take taxi which is easily available, to go to the hotel. The taxis at the Larkin Sentral are required to use the meter for every trips they take. There is also a choice to take the train to go to Johor Bahru. Though there are no direct ETS trips from KL Sentral to Johor Bahru, it is still possible to take the train. Take the ETS from KL Sentral to go to Gemas and from there, there is a KTM Intercity train that goes to Johor Bahru Sentral. The combination of these two tickets will cost somewhere around RM 52 and the trip will take more than six hours. If long trips and driving are not something to look forward to, there is also an option to take the plane. There are daily flights from Kuala Lumpur and some other big cities in Malaysia that fly to Senai International Airport. The tickets can be as low as RM 50, depending on the promotion available during air ticket booking. Senai International Airport to Bayu Marina Resort is just forty minutes away and there are taxis at the airport that would bring the passengers to any places in Johor. The fare for the taxis are usually known beforehand as they are fixed prices for the destinations.

The rooms, or more appropriately categorised as apartments, are all equipped with beds, a small full-working kitchen, a flat-screen at the living room and also a six-seaters dining table. All of their apartments have viewed with the best one being the view of the Sungai Tebrau.

There are quite a number of facilities available at the Bayu Marina Resort. One of them being the in-house restaurant. The restaurant is located at the level 9 of the building and based on the review of guests, the Bayu Marina Resort made excellent dishes. The Bayu Marina Resort has two swimming pools, with a small one being shallow for the kids and the bigger one is for the adults. The hotel also has a sauna room and a gym that are open for every guest staying there.

Angry Birds Activity Park - This is an activity park that is located inside a shopping mall in Johor Bahru, the Komtar JBCC. It is a perfect place to go for small children. The kids would surely enjoy the trampoline and foam pit area. Apart from that, there are also Angry Birds games on the big touchscreen TV instead of smartphones. There are a lot of other games and activities available in the park that would surely be a great start to a holiday. Though the ticket prices are quite expensive, starting from RM 60 for a MyKad holder, the place is worth it for the adults and especially the children.
