How to get to the Brahminy Kite Holiday Home
Since the Brahminy Kite Holiday Home is located in the middle of the city centre, getting access to the luxurious homestay is easy. A drive from the city centre will take around five to ten minutes via the Jalan Bukit Bendera. For those who are outside from Kota Kinabalu, there are daily flights going to the Kota Kinabalu International Airport. The international airport receives daily flights from both domestic and outside of Malaysia. The distance between the Kota Kinabalu International Airport and the Brahminy Kite Holiday Homes is about ten kilometres and the journey will take about twenty minutes, depending on the current traffic condition. One could rent a car or take a taxi from the airport to go to the homestay.
Different Types of Room at the Brahminy Kite Holiday Home
The Brahminy Kite Holiday Home is a homestay, and the owner does not rent by rooms. Instead the entire house in rent together. Inside the Brahminy Kite Holiday Home, there are five bedrooms, a lot of extra spaces and private bathrooms. This homestay can sleep ten people in beds, and a few more extra people on the sofas. The first bedroom at the Brahminy Kite Holiday Home is a room with two Twin-sized bed and another room has a King-sized bed. The remaining three bedrooms at the Brahminy Kite Holiday Home has a Queen-sized bed, each. All of the bedrooms at the homestay have air conditioners.
Almost all the rooms have their own private bathrooms with hot showers and a toilet. Some of the bathrooms even have a bathtub.
The homestay has a separate living room and dining room. For its living room, it is equipped with a television, with a DVD player and satellite channels. There are a set of sofa and a day bed in the living room. The dining room of the homestay can sit ten people and they arranged it in a buffet-style where all of the dishes and cutleries are pushed into one side. The kitchen is well-equipped with a stove, a refrigerator, an electric kettle and even a toaster. The entire house has Wi-Fi connections that are free to use.
The rent for the whole house is RM 1,100 a night.

There is no restaurant or café available at the homestay but there are a lot of eateries in the town.
Facilities at the Brahminy Kite Holiday Home
The Brahminy Kite Holiday Home has quite a number of facilities at their homestay ground as they are trying to make sure that the guests would be comfortable and satisfied when staying there. The main facility of this luxurious homestay is its parking space. The available parking garage can fit only two cars but they have extra space that can fit another three to four cars in front of the house and still in the gated area. The Brahminy Kite Holiday Home also has quite a big library, filled with all kinds of books and magazines. This library is open to the guests who are staying there. There is also a working computer set inside the homestay. This computer set has a wired internet connection. For those who want to do a BBQ at the homestay, it is also possible with the BBQ pit available at the back of the house. For safety, the owner of the homestay has placed a number of safety deposit boxes in the house where guests may put their valuables.

Gaya Street Sunday Market - Gaya Street, or originally named as the Bond Street back in the colonial days, is located in the heart of the Kota Kinabalu Central Business District. It has been the centre of business for more than a hundred years. Every Sunday, this stretch of road is closed off to traffic to make way for the market. During the Sunday market, there are plenty of things to explore and shop. It is one of the best places to experience how the locals do their shopping while spending family time on a Sunday outing.
