How to get to Cameron Highlands Resort

The best mode of transportation to get to Cameron Highlands will be driving, be it with your own car, rental or the mobile transportation application Uber/Grab car services. This is due to the fact that in Cameron Highlands, there is no public transportation that you can find to take you places within the area. Tourist will mainly rent a car from Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, Penang and other major cities before heading up to Cameron Highlands. From Kuala Lumpur or Penang, it will roughly take around 3 hours to reach the hotel. From Ipoh, the drive will be much shorter, only an hour to the hotel.

If you opt for public transportation like taxis, from Ipoh will range about RM100-200 for a one-way trip while from KLIA or Penang could be about RM350-600 for a one-way trip. Another way of going will be chartered minivans from travel agents like CS Travel or KB Backpackers that will take you to Cameron Highlands. Since there are no airports in Cameron Highlands, the nearest you can fly in is Ipoh, Perak. From there you can either rent a car or grab a taxi to reach your destination.
