Highly recommended and good environment.
A place for family or couples holidays resting place. The garden of this Inn was very beautiful and gave a peace of mind (although it's small area) Wanted to go again just to rest. I didn't tried any meals here

We were greeted by Yen (I think), who was very friendly and showed us around. The accommodation itself is average, you don't need air con in the room as it's cool enough, but a fan would been nice. The room gets a bit stuffy. Luckily there weren't too many mosquitos around so we could open the vented windows to let some air in. Although our window was only into the corridor, not outside. The ceiling was too high for a mosquito net, maybe a hook would be a good idea so people can use their own if wanted. We were given towels, even though our email stated we wouldn't be. The only complaint is that I wish there was soap in the bathrooms for washing hands as it's frustrating remembering every time. Breakfast isn't included, but they offer a good choice and reasonable prices compared to elsewhere. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the famous scones as they didn't have any our whole stay!! The location is good, a short walk away from the shops/restaurants. This means it's nice and quiet and the outdoor seating area is quite nice to chill. Overall, this place was fairly cheap, so you kinda get what you pay for. We are backpackers travelling, so for people like us, a place like this is fine :)

Scones were great but that's about it.... avoid this accomodation if at all possible.
I read the reviews about this place and was prepared to deal with some issues mentioned but the reality is that the accomodation was a lot worse than expected. We booked a family room (2 single, 1 queen sized bed with toilet attached). The room does not have any a/c (we knew that) but didn't know that there were no fans either. That left us the only option of opening the window for ventilation, which was a mistake. The kids were bitten to death by mosquitoes as there were no insect mesh on the windows. To make things worse, some family arrived late at about 10 pm and made a lot of noise, chit chatting in the car park, oblivious to the fact that there are other guests. The management didn't do anything to tell them to keep the noise down. After an hour, I relented and asked them to keep the noise down (that's when their kids came out to the car park in front of our door and started chasing each other and screaming). The Malay lady at the reception was pretty horse faced - not a smile. The rooms were clean enough, but we were given three towels when they knew there were 4 occupants. Rooms are very basic - to kettle to boil any water for a cup of tea. Wifi's available only at the reception area. All in, for the money we paid MYR380 for a night's stay - it's poor value for money. Come for the scones but DON'T STAY THE NIGHT!

Went specifically for their scones
We didn't stay in the accommodation but we made a trip specifically to have their scones. DA BEST. if only they made their own strawberry jam (as the one given was a touch too sweet for my palette). Tried about 3 different kinds of scones on my trip and still, cameronian inn's the best. Buttery, flakey goodness.

Simple, cheap and quiet
We really enjoyed our time at Cameronian Inn. The inn is down a side street which makes the place seem really quiet and relaxed but only a 2 min walk to the main bustle of the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and really happy to help. The information on the board about walking routes was really useful and we used this to go on a great trek. The accommodation is very simple but is also advertised this way and reflected by the very reasonable price. However it's clean, peaceful and I would recommend to anyone who is after somewhere central and cheap to stop!

Simple, quiet and dated
Good for: Small families, people who like hiking, solo or friends. - simple layout and rooms - good location for hiking and tea plantations - cheap - nice outdoor area to read and sit in the sun To consider: - some rooms don't have window - no air con (but it is cooler up there) - dated inside
