Being a 4 star rated hotel but what a let down. Toilet, sink bowl were dirty as though they didn't clean up and bedsheets were appalling😠. Room was comfy but the basics were a let down. Friendly good service tho.

Thanks to its popularity among the people of Malaysia, there are quite a numbers of hotels, hostel and such. Century Pines Resort is among of the best place to stay while one is vacationing at the highland of Pahang state. The Century Pines Resort in Cameron Highland is located at Tanah Rata, the small town in Cameron. The hotel is surrounded with greeneries, giving this place such a tranquillity that is perfect for those who are looking for some well-deserved relaxation. It offers eight types of rooms, all with different prices, with different views and features. The prices are rather affordable compared to other hotels, in its standard and location, with the starting price at RM 164 up to RM 700+. The Century Pines Resort has received a solid 8.5/10-star, with most patrons loving the cleanliness and comfort it gives.

How to Get to the Century Pines Resort

The only way to get to the Century Pines Resort is by driving as there are no other ways to get there. The hotel is easily accessed as it is located along the federal route that is the main road towards Cameron Highland. It is also in the middle of Tanah Rata, a town in the district of Cameron Highland. From Kuala Lumpur, driving up to Cameron Highland and directly to the Century Pines Resort will take about some three hours via the North-South Highway with the exit being at the Exit Tapah before continuing to the Federal Route 59, which is the Tapah-Cameron Highland route. For those who are not fond of driving, there is also an option to get to Cameron Highland by bus. There are Express Buses coming from Kuala Lumpur with the ticket price starting from RM 22 one-way and the trip will take almost five hours. The bus terminal in Cameron Highland is just a walking distance to the Century Pine Resort.

Different Types of Room in the Century Pines Resort

The Century Pines Resort has some 153 rooms in their hotel building and these rooms are divided into eight types, all having different features and prices. All of the rooms come with complimentary breakfast service for the next morning. The rooms and the common areas of the hotel are equipped with free Wi-Fi connections that are available for all of the patrons of the hotel. All of the rooms also have a TV and in-room safe, perfect for storing valuables while out exploring the beautiful Cameron Highland.

All of the rooms, except for the Standard type, have more in-room facilities such as a coffee/tea maker set, a mini-bar fridge, a desk and a chair, and a terrace or a balcony with views of the surrounding area. The en-suite bathrooms in all of the room types have the same basic amenities such as showers, a hairdryer and also a set of complimentary toiletries. The Century Pines Resort most basic room is the Standard, which comes in a 35.3-sqm room. It is RM 165 a night and it has a Queen bed. This type of room does not have any balcony or terrace and the in-room facilities are minimal to just the TV and the in-room safe. Upgraded a level above this is the Superior Room which is also the same size as the Standard. This room, however, has more in-room facilities and a balcony, apart from a choice of bedding to either have a single Queen-sized bed or two Twin-sized beds. The Superior’s price starts from RM 216 a night. The Deluxe type has more spacious room at 41.8 sqm with the price of RM 250+ per night

The more exclusive-type room in this hotel is the Duplex Suite which comes in an almost 83-sqm room. The suite not only has the basic in-room facilities such as other rooms, but it also has a better entertainment unit with a DVD player and a small kitchen in the room. The price for this suite starts from RM 422 a night, including taxes. The biggest room at the Century Pines Resort is the Perak Suite which is an 83-sqm suite with a separate living quarter and a kitchen. The price for this awesome suite is at RM 788, tax included.

Facilities at the Century Pines Resort

This hotel has more to offer to its patrons in terms of relaxation and rejuvenation while staying at their hotel. Among the facilities available at the Century Pines Resort is the sauna room. There is also an option to relax in a Jacuzzi pool or even have a spa session to release all of the tenseness and stresses that have built up. All of these facilities are required to be booked before usage. Booking is made via the front desk and charges are applied to use any of these three great facilities.

Interesting Place near the Century Pines Resort

Agrotechnology Park Mardi Cameron Highland - One of the oldest Mardi’s research centres in the country, this place has been opened to the public with more than 100 thousand visitors annually. Here, the visitors may see and learn about the floras in Malaysia. The park is divided into six main areas, with each and every single one of them has their town themes such as the English Garden and the Herb Garden. The park opens every day except during the Aidilfitri and Aildiadha celebrations. The fee is just RM 5 for an adult and RM 3 for children. This Mardi Park is located at Tanah Rata.

Additional breakfast are chargeable at MYR 38.50 /person.
