Kinta is one of the districts located in Perak, Malaysia. Being the most packed district in Perak, the population is mostly found on the north. The development of this district began with the discovery of tin ore back in the 18th century. It had attracted migrants from all over the world especially China. The involvement in tin ore industry had somehow made Perak the state with the most population in the early 20th century. However, people start to migrate out of the state since neighbouring states like Penang and Selangor started to prosper.
