Ledang is a town in northern part of the Muar district which was separated from the southern part by the Muar River. A ceremony headed by the sultan on 9 June 2008 saw the official proclamation of that northern part becoming Johor's 10th district named Ledang district. The district was then renamed Tangkak district at the end of 2015. The district's principal town is Tangkak. The district covers Tangkak town, Tanjung Agas, Kesang, Sungai Mati, Serom, Sagil and Bukit Gambir.
You may drive to Ledang where it takes 2 hours 18 minutes’ drive from Kuala Lumpur via the North-South Expressway. If you travel from Singapore you may use Singapore Causeway or Second Link Expressway that connect Singapore to Johor as well as the rest of the peninsula.
Ledang is easily accessible by bus. You can take express bus from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) to Tangkak Bus Terminal. If you travel from Johor Bharu you may take express bus from Larkin to Muar. After you reach Muar, take the local bus to Tangkak.
