Nice place at classic inn, comfortable

It is in strategic place near berjaya square. hotel is very traditional but seem lack of employees. breakfast is not as usual as I had in hotels. but reception is very helpful and friendly.
- Backpacking
Good place and nice location.

The room was about half the size of a standard room. It can accommodate 2 double deckers back2back...(in this case they were concrete slabs permanently fixed. Mattress/pillow were comfortable though. There is just enough space for 1 person to get off his bed & walk the narrow passageway to the entrance door. The room didn't seem like the one displayed on the online portal. It was difficult to use the key on the door...it was too close to the door frame . Toilet/bathroom were on the ground floor..separate & clean. My dorm was on the 2nd floor. The room had an a/c & a wall fan which worked fine. The hotel proper (premium rooms) was on one side & the budget rooms were on another adjacent wing. The reception & cafeteria are located at the hotel proper. You get served with breakfast & drink coffee /tea or juice). I had 2 pieces of toasted bread & a saucer of fried rice with tea. It was really filling! There is a big cosy sitting room on the ground floor to sit & dine/relax. Everything was clean & tidy. Lockers were located outside the room (bring your own padlock/towel/soap). No bathroom slippers were provided.
- Family vacation
The hotel looks nice from outside but the room is bare basic. We booked a family room for 2 nights but were given connecting rooms upon arrival. But that's fine. However, we were only given a tiny piece of soap, a toilet roll, 2 towels & 2 bottles of water in each room.
Overall, this place is okay. But the air conditioner is not cold. Satellite TV is not good. Its signal is not clear.
- Family vacation
The location is behind Berjaya Times Square and near Imbi Monorail Station. The service is good. They serve breakfast from 07.30 to 10.30 AM. The room is quite enough for two people with bathroom inside. Surely, I will come back again in the future.
- Backpacking
Only the water heater not function well..no hot water... Overall are good! Especially location are good near to Imbi monorail!

1 nite stay
Very convenient, just behind Berjaya Times Square & walking distance to Imbi monorail. We walked back from Bukit Bintang. We checked in at 4am (24 hrs check-in service). No elevator , our room was at top floor. Well-maintained, only a toilet roll , 2 towels & a piece soap available.

Old favourite's customer service going steadily downhill
Having been a loyal customer of Classic Inn since 2010, I've now decided to go elsewhere on my regular stopovers in KL. While it does tick a lot of boxes: central location, interesting architecture, excellent beds & bathrooms, fast wifi, the customer service has gone steadily downhill, which is sad to see. On my most recent visit, the guy on reception was patronising, sarcastic and even openly hostile, regularly complaining about the stresses of his job between cigarette breaks and rolling his eyes when I asked for anything: "If possible, when you have a moment, could I perhaps get a cup of tea?" "Do I look like I make tea?! Can't you see I'm busy?!" They also have an irritating policy of asking for payment on arrival, which is inconvenient if you've come straight from the airport and just want to check in. If you're prepared for a rough and ready experience, albeit comfortable and good value, this is your place – but it's not for me anymore.

It is becoming more like home
This is a follow up from my review of over a week when we stayed there for three nights. We decided to return there after traveling to some places. We booked three nights again. We topknot an all night bus ride to Kaula Lumpur and hot yo the Hotel about 6:30 AM Thursday morning. We were booked for that night. The outside door was locked. I knocked and we were let in. Check in time is officially 2:00 PM. We thought we would have to wait a while but hoped to leave our luggage there. He asked if we wanted to check in the early. We were happy to have out room early then with no extra charge. We used the time to take a nap. The last time the TV did not have a very good picture. This time it was much clearer on the three channels we got. They made up our rooms every day and gave us more water each day.

Worst accommodation I've experienced
I booked here for a few days when travelling Asia after reading some of the reviews on a booking website and here. I've been travelling through Asia with friends and became solo just before I landed in KL so thought be great to stay in a hostel a meet new people. I didn't get the warmest of welcome when I entered the property I booked and fully paid for the accommodation on a booking website but was still asked for a deposit of 11USD for the key. I was then brought to my room through a number of corridors that had graffiti on the walls that made me feel uncomfortable and immediately brought a sense on dirtiness. The toilets were getting cleaned as I walked past, it looks like three cubicles; 1) a shower 2) a local toilet 3) a western toilet with shower overhead. The room itself was a four bedroom bunk and you had to slide the door to get in which gives you an idea of the size. The bunk beds were made from concrete with a thin mattress placed on top with a sheet and pillow. I had a sense the place wasn't very clean from walking through the corridors so I checked the sheets and found a yellow stain, a few hairs and also a hole. At this point I looked around and asked myself what was I doing staying here. I decided to go and get some food and have a think about the situation, I had to bring my bag as the lockers didn't look secure, and after some food I decided to go back grab my bag and book alternative accommodation. Easily the worst accommodation I experienced on my travels.
