It was a cheap and area to chill out with friends. My room was the hill side, it's just that the air-con took very long time to cool. Was hot in the room during noon.

- Romantic Vacation
The beach is dirty. There is no coral in the sea in front of coral view resort. Food is even bad. Bad and very slow in cooking. There is No activity you can do at night!! The reception close at 10pm. No hair dryer in room and please borrow it from reception early ! Mosquito is a lot even at restaurant. The worst is this resort has no jetty and they depend on the small boat to transfer customer from the larger boat to smaller boat to be landed on the beach. However, the resort worker are lazy, they will only welcome and come fetch you when you arrive, but when you leaving the resort, the resort will not send you back to larger boat but ask you walk far to the neighbour resort to use others jetty. The resort's boat man is really unfriendly to customer!

Stopped for dinner one eve.
Dropped in for dinner one eve as wanted to try somewhere else. Ordered from grill list and only item left was mixed grill. When it arrived lamb was virtually inedible, & fish was missing. Also no vegetables arrived as advertised, one of us asked to swop rice for fries but nothing arrived no fries or rice. We didn't want to pay full amount, waitress was rude and said we had to pay as she wanted to go home, asked for manager and she repeatedly said we are closing pay now so we can go home at 10pm when advertised open til 10.30. Eventually spoke to another member of staff who knocked off 10rm.

Great location, no beer!
Gorgeous location with snorkelling right off the beach- colourful fish swimming right up to the water edge. Rooms clean with plenty of space but approach electric shower in wetroom with caution. Staff very nice and helpful. Restaurant good and appears to be open pretty much all the time but is quiet at night due to lack of alcohol! We are here end October at start of monsoon season so gift shops are closed. This is an alcohol free hotel but there is a restaurant about 3 minutes away with beer and wine at The Barat.

Amazing stay
We had the most amazing stay. The location is stunning. The accommodation is average but the views from the balcony were spectacular, we sat watching leaf monkeys, a sugar glider with her baby and fruit bats!! We also spotted a monitor lizard. Actually, we saw more wildlife here than we did at Teman Negara NP. The food was lovely with a very wide choice. If your looking to snorkel come here and make it your base. The snorkeling in the area is very good and the beaches are lovely. I don't usually go back to a place mote than once but I will make an exception here!

Perfect for family vacation
This resort is perfect for family, the resort provides halal food selection and no-alcohol is served at the resort dining area. The area is nearby coral and turtle spot. There are hill view and beach view. U can pick, i got a double bed room and the room is fairly ok for me. Friendly receptionists and reasonable price for the dood and snorkelling service. It is advisable for u to have ur water slippers as the beach is not sandy but full of corals. U cant simply step and play by the beach. This island is perfect for snorkelling.

A Malaysian Pearl
My stay at CVIR was great except for a few issues which could have been solved in a proper way. My standard chalet was uphill and VERY dark, though with a view to some part of the ocean and charmingly furnished with traditionally styled Malaysian interior.I mailed them more than 2 months prior to my arrival and requested to upgrade my room to a front beach room, but never heard anything. The bulb on the balcony was burned out, and I asked the staff many times to change it, which was never done. There was only WI-fi from 8 am-10 pm and the connection was poor in the room. I really enjoyed my stay to the fullest. The staff in the reception was very friendly and the restaurant was ok, but the variety of vegetarian meals was limited. I loved the curry soup :):) There are other restaurants along the coast. I was scuba diving at the PADI center connected to the resort.I didn't dive for 6 years, so I was a bit excited. The dive to the Sugar Wreck in 19 m depth was awesome, but the visibility wasn't as good as I had hoped. It was cool to dive into the wreck seeing long finned Bat- and Bannerfish, Pacific lionfishes, Yellow and Solor Boxfishes etc. Snorkeling is Unique here, especially at the Turtle Beach, which is 5 min walk from CVIR over the bridge. Lots of colorful fishes around you. A beautiful sand beach, crystal clear and clean water. You can book snorkeltours to other small islands which is great. A 3 hour tour costed 45 MYR. Make sure to bring enough cash, as there isn't any ATM on the island. When you arrive you will have to carry your luggage from the jetty to the reception. Leaving is no problem, as you are provided with someone to carry your luggage.
