How to Get to De Baron Resort
Since the De Baron Resort is located in one of the best vacationing spots in Peninsular Malaysia, it is easy to travel to the resort. There are many choices of transportation to get to the De Baron Resort but the easiest and best way to travel to the place is by driving or any choice of private transportation. The Langkawi Island roads are connected to almost every places on the island, including the De Baron Resort. For those who are driving to the De Baron Resort, it is just a six-minute drive from the Eagle Square via the Persiaran Putera, and just five minutes away from Kuah town. For those who are travelling from Kuala Lumpur, there is no direct road leading to the Langkawi Island as there is no road that connects the mainland of Malaysia to the island. The best way to get to the island by driving is by getting to the nearest jetties in the mainland that have ferry services. These jetties are located in Kuala Kedah and Kuala Perlis. There are ferries that carry both passengers and their lightweight vehicles such as cars and vans. The ferries from these mainland jetties will arrive at the Kuah Jetty in Langkawi Island which is just six minutes away to the De Baron Resort. For those who are looking to get to the island faster, it is better to get there via airplane. There is a Langkawi International Airport, half an hour away from the De Baron Resort.
Different Type of Rooms in De Baron Resort
There are four types of rooms available at the De Baron Resort. All of the rooms in the hotel is equipped with the standard basic in-room amenities such as the coffee/tea maker, a minibar, a flat-screen tv with cable channels and also in-room safe. There are also free Wi-Fi connections for all of the guests staying at the hotel. The hotel’s cheapest room is the Standard Room, starts at RM 150 a night. All of the Standard Rooms of De Baron Resort is located in the building across the main building of the resort. There is a choice of either to have a King-sized bed or two Twin-sized beds, subjects to availability. The Superior Rooms of the resort start from RM 170 a night. The bigger room than the Superior-type is the Deluxe room with two beds, which starts from RM 212. The Deluxe Room will have two Queen-sized beds. There is also a suite-type of room at the De Baron Resort and a night stay at the Junior Suite starts from RM 312. The Junior Suite will have a view of the city.

The facilities of the De Baron Resort are the basic ones found in most hotels. It has a conference and meeting rooms. There is also a coffee shop, a perfect place to relax while enjoying a cup of joe and also a restaurant that caters to the hotel’s breakfast buffet and room services.
Interesting Place Near De Baron Resort
Eagle Square - Or better known as the Dataran Lang, is one of the must-go places in the Langkawi Island. There is a huge eagle monument built there as to remember the origin of the Langkawi’s name. Lang is the part taken from the eagle (helang, is the eagle in the Malay language) while Kawi is a name of a red stone that is used to mark good items. The combination of these two words made up the name ‘Langkawi.’ The eagle of the Eagle Square is also a landmark that will greet the boats and ferries coming into the island, going towards the Kuala Kuah Jetty. The Eagle Square is just a couple of kilometers to the De Baron Resort.
