Overall I feel the place has great potential but is wasting away with neglect. The only worker there is very helpful but there is only so much 1 person can do. No one answers the phone so don't bother to call the advertised number. Best is just book and come 10 minutes before 12 pm. There is no 24 hour front desk and no meals served. Recommend for short budget stay and if you need somewhere within walking distance to Tanah Rata main town. Otherwise invest a bit more for better comforts and security.
I was so angry during check in because the staff did not update my booking (family room) and had given the room to other customer. He also refuse to refund. But since the staff handle this case politely and agree to give me triple room with extra bed so i accept. He also promise to change my room on the next day. The triple room is quite spacious with newly renovated and spacious bathroom. The environment is quite nice and this motel is only walking distance to tanah rata shop lot. But must beware to the wild dogs. This is very good cheap hotel compare to the hotel in shop lot because we don't have to climb the stairs or struggling for the parking. No food is provided and the nearest restaurant is around 500m down the hill. My suggestion hotel should provide a fan to make sure good air circulation because we cannot open the windows at all time. Bad news the staff told us the this hotel will be close soon and renovate for a new building.
very near town (tanah rata) the staff is very nice and friendly. would love to stay there again
Wooden toilet door always stuck, probably of old material.
the toilet was stuck. Heater not functioning. Even the rooms that heater function, the water not hot. Bad staff services. They dare to raise up their voice to the customer. They didn't change the bed sheet and comforter after we check out. they just clean the rubbish from the room. I saw it because i'm there since i'm check-out at 10.30 am and waiting for my group to check-out at 11.30am. One of my group go and take a shower at my rooms after i'm check-out since their rooms heater didn't function, he got scolded by the receptionist because have a shower at my rooms since we already checkout. the I explained to him that the heater not functioning but he didn't take and action regarding the issue. If you need to improve your sales, change the heater, make the rooms smell nice, make the piping systems running smoothly. You have a very good locations of hotels.
No heater in cameron highlands? the rooms smelly. the staff bad in mood especially the male staff.
they said its a trouble for them to allow us get the keys. Then they said that because of we came as a group, they already prepare the table for us to eat at the lower building. So they asked us to clean it back and bring the table back to the upper building because they lack of staff. Hello.... then we paid the fee so that we need to bring all the tables and chairs back to the place? we didn't asked for that.
I'm really enjoyed with that place. I can get myself relaxed. The staff are very friendly and very good.

Run down and lack of staff
I give 1 star for location. Walking distance to town and convenient. 1 star for the only staff in place. He is helpful and courteous. No one answers the phone so don't bother to call. Warm water available and clean bathrooms. Because it's so damp, all the furniture and bedding smell. Recommend for short budget trip.

Average stay but helpful staff
It was a little bit difficult to find the inn but it was raining heavily when we arrived, after that we saw there was a sign at the beginning of the road. Our stay was average, room was not very big and average clean, also the water was not very hot. But the staff was very helpful, they tried to adjust the boiler so the water was hotter and they tried to comply with all requests.

Nice location and nice room!
Dew drop Inn is located very nicely so close by the centre. The garden is very lovely and is full of butterflies. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The rooms were simple, but had anything you need. Except a musquito net, but they gave us a ladder so we could put up our own. The bathroom we had was not simple, but very big and it looked very new. Because of the spaciousness it's brilliant for singing underneath the shower. Waterpressure was low, but the temperature was nice and warm. It gets a bit humid and cold at night, so beware of paper products you are bringing with you. The cold was not so bad since we had a thin and a big woolish blanket on the bed. The only thing that bothered us was the noise that came from up the hill. The sound of a piano from up there (probably from the church) can be heard very well down at Dew drop Inn in the morning. Would recommend this hostel for a mice comfortable stay, just put your earplugs next to your bed if you want to sleep longer and the church is up and running early.

Fine for a few nights
Good location that's close to town. However, walking back at night was intimidating as the path up to the Inn is poorly lit and there is a pack of dogs that stay at the bottom of the Inn. The Inn itself is nice with a communal area, tv, books and free Cameron Highlands tea. Uncle was a great host! He is very welcoming and friendly. Although the reception staff were not so friendly. One receptionist overcharged for a trip compared to prices in town. We also asked about laundry facilities and she said to leave the washing there tomorrow. When I asked how much they charged per Kg she said she did not know and when we went to reception the next morning to give her our washing no one was there. The room was fine but did smell of damp.

Quaint little guest house, easy walk out of town
We were really happy with finding this place. It was an easy 5 minute walk out of Tanah Rata so close to food and the action of the main street. We stayed in the family room - two queen beds and private bathroom - and paid around $110 for 2 nights for 4 of us. The place itself is a bit old and run down, but everything was in good working order and plenty of space for us to be comfortable. The garden outside the room is lovely and we enjoyed a couple of beers and the kids played and did some colouring in. It was a great way to unwind. The hotel also put us on to a tour company, where we did a half day tour of the region for about $60 for the 4 of us. It was also just a 5-10 minute walk to the bus station to catch our bus to Penang. My only gripe - which isn't a fault of the hotel - is that on the second night there was a group of people staying who were very noisy and inconsiderate of the noise restrictions and quiet time. So if staying in a guesthouse like this, be prepared for the closeness and possible issues that arise with sharing common areas with other travellers.
