By Car

Terengganu is situated 431 km away from Kuala Lumpur and the journey there by will offer drivers a very scenic route. The journey will take approximately 5 hours. You can travel via Gombak-Karak Highway where the toll will cost around RM 10. From Karak, you can get to the Lebuhraya Pantai Timur, which will head towards Jabor or Kuantan. It will take around 3 hours along with approximate toll of RM 25. Upon reaching Jabor or Kuantan, you can opt from 3 routes to reach Kuala Terengganu, i.e. the usual Pantai route, Jabor-Bandar Muktafi Billah Shah- Ajil route as it is comparatively quicker or the LPT2 that will take you to Cheneh from Jabor then route 2 and then you will reach Kuala Terengganu highway from Kuala Dungun.

– Istana Badariah is a palace and is nearby to Kampung Pantai Mengabang Tengah, Kampong Merabang Tengah and Kampung Gong Pantai. The palace was first erected in the era of Sultan Sulaiman Badrul Alam Shah (1920-1942), the 13th Sultan of Terengganu. Unfortunately, due to his untimely death, the Sultan did not manage to occupy the new palace. His body was, however, conducted from this palace on the way to his final resting place. The interesting and beautiful structural designs on display at the palace have now become national and state heritage, and a source of pride to the Terengganu people. Royal occasions and greetings for important State visitors are now frequently held at this palace.
