Really cheap anyway, but the toilets and bathrooms are shared only one, and the condition is not feasible. For the location of strategic passable
- Shopping & Culinary
Comfortable and strategic place, just need to be addressed though more comfortable bathroom again.
- Shopping & Culinary
The inn is quite comfortable and well maintained privacy but need to improve on the cleanliness of the bathroom and additional bathroom amenities are very desirable.

If only we didn't pay in advance
The only reason why we didn't run away was that we already paid and it was the last stop during our trip so our budget was really limited. First, we arrived around 6 pm, seems like enough time to prepare room after previous guest check out... not really! We had to wait another hour to have room "cleaned". Double bed in my room wasn't really comfortable, it's not just about the mattress which was really thin btw, the frame was a problem, it was broken! Switching position must have been done carefully so it didn't collapse. AC in my room wasn't working very well either, there was strange noise or it was leaking or ice balls were getting out of it, it was either extremally cold or it wasn't working at all! You may think why I didn't report it and demand fixing or changing room, I would, I was going to but there was no one there! During three days that we spent in Kuching we have seen reception guy...twice maybe? He wasn't at reception at all or he was sleeping there. This place really need renovation, every visit in toilet or shower was making me cringe! There were rubbish bins in corridor, full when we arrived, same when we were leaving, you can imagine the smell that was around... Perhaps this place was great once but now... it's obvious that nobody takes care of it. It's a shame because location is good and it has potential to be a nice place for low budget traverels. For now I definitely advise against staying at Drop In Guesthouse

You pay what you get for
Superficially decorated, the rooms, toilets and bathrooms are very small and the wall of the toilet at first floor is not fully covered. The paint on the bedroom wall peeled off, TV is not working. Apparently the trendy decoration could not make the guesthouse shine. However, location wise, this guesthouse is near to the major attraction of Kuching city. Self-service laundrette, convenience store and lots of coffee shops can be found near this guesthouse. Well, since it's only cost me less than RM50 per night, perhaps I should be contented even though I was given a blanket with a hole?

You get what you pay for
We stayed in a queen room which is about as big as the bed plus 3'X6' standing room. You get what you pay for here which isn't much. Bed was literally just a box spring with no mattress. A.C works but is extremely loud for some reason. Made us chose between getting to sleep in quiet or being cool. Walls are very thin and you can her everything. In general not too dirty or anything just an underlying sense of grit. They do have computers that you can use for free. No one is at the desk hardly ever. Left our bags after we checked out for a few hours and no one was at the front to give us our bags for hours almost missed our bus!

Not as bad
Actually not as bad as some reviews may suggest. Toillet ok, shower ok. Noise in night is a problem, especially in the ground floor. We stayed in a room next to the reception and staff had something like a party there. Loud music (and a bad one) all night, even after I said them, if they can be more silent. Maybe they did not understand me, I dont know. But room was clean, water for free was there, a day receptionist was helpfull. WI-FI was there, but the quality of connection was bad. Nice hostel for a low price.

Cheap but terrible
The room is small and smell terrible. That is not the big problem. Before we sleep, there comes a big black spider. We asked to change a room but there is only one left near the counter. What's worse, the room is very noisy. Both the sound of rain and air condition machine is over our head. Besides, the music and video sound is quite loud made by the owner. In total, the room maybe the cheapest but also the worst.
