Location is far away from town but its very near to langkawi sky cable car.. food is easy to find during the day but not night.. place is quiet and calm. we just slept for a night and our experience is quite frightening when in the middle of the night our room phone rang 3x.. we answered the 2nd and 3rd call but nobody is talking.. we thought the reception is calling.. but who calls in the middle of the night.. the water tap sound never stops... but since we are tired we Just ignored it and slept till morning and checked out at 7 am..quiet a nice experience I think... but overall the location is great with nice view..

Experience in Geopark hotel Langkawi
The rooms were alright. The staff very accommodating. I inform them the aircond was leaking, they immediately offered to change my room. However the aircond still leaking. But very good Customer service. Night shift and morning shift were good. I will come back again. Is convenient as they have alot of convenient store at the park itself.

Great location & friendly staff
Situated in the oriental village, this hotel is in a great location. There are restaurants and shops on its doorstep (although the restaurants do shut early so if you want to get dinner it is slightly annoying!) as well as the cable car and other attractions such as tiger tiger. Seven wells waterfall is walking distance and was a highlight of our trip. The hotel also offers scooter hire which is very handy for when you need to get out and about (when you leave the oriental village you are in the middle of the jungle - lovely)! The northern beaches are close by and are wonderful compared to the main, more touristy ones. The hotel itself was very clean (your room gets cleaned daily) and the staff are lovely! Only downside was that the shower was very weak! Otherwise, a great stay!

Great place to stay if you want to be very close to the Cable Car
+ Very helpful staff. Thank you for changing a loud room to a quieter one. + Bed was comfortable. + For us the best was a location: the hotel is right next to the cable car so we're able to be the first one at the sky bridge and could go back to the room for a nap every 2-3 hours (we traveled with 6 month old baby) which was incredibly convenient for us. - Shower was really bad. Shower head super old & all rusty so hardly any water was going through. We also had troubles with a toilet which was eventually fixed but continued making loud noises every time we're using basin. - No pool at the property, though they mention it as a part of their facilities. - Hotel is pretty old.

Remote but not impractical.
There are a number of elite resort hotels on the island. This is not one of them. It is adequate for the traveler on a budget. Probably costing about £16.00 per night it is one of the cheaper hotels but good value for money. The hotel is situated in the Oriental Village in the north west of the island. It forms part of the attraction and is right next to the Cable Car (This is the No 1 attraction). It is in a remote area and private transport I think is a must. I hired a car from the airport for less than RM 50 per day (£9.00 ). A taxi each way just to the hotel would be RM30 so it was good value. The concessions at the park all close around 7pm and then you have to travel to any restaurants. There are many of them but they are probably up to half a mile away. Not a problem if you are mobile. At the nearby marina there is a Pizzaria, an Indian and small convenience store which open late. You are a long way from the major towns of Kuah and Cetang although the roads are good and easy to navigate. The rooms and the hotel in general are clean but tired. Few TV channels and only one movie. Kettle and coffee in the room. No restaurant or room service worth talking about. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. I have stayed in many, many 'middle quality hotels around SE Asia. You tend to get what you pay for.

Very bad ambience of hotel. I would not recommend to anyone. Very ordinary place. They don't have a swimming pool. The don't have proper room service. If you don't expect anything, then only I will suggest. I would suggest a stay near Chenang beach area.
