A little bit of a walk
This hotel is located a short walk from attractions- maybe 15mins. We stayed as part of a tour group and we found the hotel to be adequate. Nothing fancy but bathroom was clean. The bedding was not fantastic and could use an upgrade. There was only a bottom sheet and a blanket. The staff were wonderfully helpful and the gentleman on the front desk spoke perfect English, he advised that he had lived in Canberra Australia for a few years.

Our preferred accommodation in Melaka
had been staying in HHH for many times. though this is merely a budget hotel, the service from the staff never fail to disappoint us. in particular, one of the staff there name : Molly (whom we have taken a photo of her) she has always given us a very warm welcome whenever we made a return visit. there is a new staff @ reception now, her name is Nur. (photo also taken) She is a very friendly staff too and never make us feel unwelcome at all in all our stay there. The rooms are clean & quiet enough to have a good night sleep each time we are there (although there is a pub on the 1st level) We will not hesitate to come back here to stay when we visit Melaka again!

Nothing special, far from everything
The rooms were comfortable enough but nothing special. The wifi didn't stretch to my room because it was "in a corner". The Irish pub was empty every night, but fun anyway! It's not in a great location. The roads around it are very quiet and it's a bit of a walk to either old or new town. Despite the really lovely staff, I wouldn't stay again.

basic but value for money
I stayed here during my first visit to melaka. We were a group of four so we went for the family room. The room was ok, not too spacious but it was fine to us. No coffee maker but there's a water dispenser provided outside the room. The only thing that bothers me a little was the towel. It was old and there's even a hole on it. I think they should also replace the pillows. It was not comfortable. The hotel manager was very friendly n helpful. She gave us few recommendations on where to eat, where to visit. Another staff of them helped to get a taxi for us to go to KLIA, at a reasonable price. Overall, our stay was pleasant and definitely will choose this hotel again. Nothing much to expect but it will worth your money. It's a budget hotel anyway so don't expect too much.

Minimal but sufficient
Stayed here over the busy Raya weekend. The hotel provides basic necessities - aircond, 3 (or 4?) Astro channels, hot shower (you won't need this with the hot weather anyway!) - even got myself an extra pillow. I would recommend you to bring your toiletries. Two bottles of 500ml mineral water provided daily, you can refill your water (hot and cold) from a dispenser outside in the common area. No lift in the building, but as we were staying on the first floor and travelling light, it was hardly noticed. Wifi is available in the room, even though sometimes the coverage may not be strong. Location: It is quite centrally located at one of the shoplots in Plaza Mahkota, where you probably find a dozen more B&Bs in. Walk to Jonker Street will take you pass the Maritime Museum and along the river, pass the iconic giant water mill and the Stadthuys - all in less than 20 minutes. The good thing is if you are driving into Melaka, you escape all those congested roads leading into town. Food is avalable and ample in the clusters of shops around Plaza Mahkota, all within walking distance - food court with halal and non-halal sections, Chinese, Hakka, Nyonya, Malay food shops, satay celup and the famed Nadeje milli crepe shop as well. Service: Checking in and out was fuss-free. Charlotte and the man (didn't get his name) at the front desk were friendly and helpful, from recommending places to explore and eat to telling us stories/history of the places, people, culture. It is not my first time in Melaka but still I found so much new things to learn of and new nooks and corners to explore. Friend from HK enjoyed this trip as much.
