Everything ok except the lift a bit dirty and old
Nice hotel just a little higher price.
High prices and low prices should go further with the condition of the rooms.

Good central location
Easy to find, with the rainbow frontage. Generally the room was good and service reasonable. Aircon worked really well. The lack of breakfast facilities made it hard to get away on an earlier start as many places in proximity also appeared to have later opening times.

Fantastic location for foodies
Hotel Capital has recently been refurbished and the bathrooms are modern and clean. The only let down was the carpet which was worn and slightly stained. The deluxe room we stayed in was bright and airy and we had a view of the ocean front. The best part was exploring the coffee shops around the area - all within walking distance. Spoilt for choice for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper. Folks here wake up early so breakfast options start at 6am. There's even a decent Italian restaurant next door but I much preferred the local noodles, steamed buns and hawker fare. Amenities are basic (e.g. no toothpaste), but this is a 3 star hotel after all. There are some luxury hotels in KK, but this location is hard to beat and it's good value for travellers on a mid-range budget (<RM200 per night).

Central location
Hotel is clean and comfortable and the location is ideal. Access to restaurants and banks is a breeze. Not forgetting the pillows pillows at this hotel really firm and they worked really well for my sore neck!

Late check in
Initially we have booked and paid a hotel of our choice for 2 nights in kota kinabaru city. But Agoda screw up when we check in there isn't any rooms available. In Dire straits, Agoda assist us to find alternative hotel to stay since they screw big time. Search many hotels were taken up. Until we select this Capital hotel recommend by Agoda. Given a VIP suite for 2 night stay. Check in 1am plus. Friendly staff and administration was fast and prompt . Location of the hotel is right in the centre of Gaya Sunday Market. Ground floor is the "little Italy " restaurant. Back to the room at 9 floor.. Was newly renovated, huge king size bed, with an amazing 180degree view of city and the sea. The rooms has International TV channels and free Wi-Fi. Very spacious with approx 30sqm in total. Bed and toilet is clean. There is also a study table and sofa set in the next room with TV .Thou the outlook of the building an old building painted with colourful colours but the Condition of the interior was new. Only setback there is no bathtub and hotel facilities like gym & etc. limited parking lots. Very centralised, mins walk to shopping mall, seaside, many good restaurant.

Clean and reburbished hotel
The hotel is located in a very centralized location near to one of the newest shopping mall. It is also very near to the jetty for those who want to go for island hopping. It is also very near to numerous eateries thus no worry about finding food. The hotel is clean and recently refurbished when I stay in the hotel. The room is of decent size for a deluxe room. Toilet is slightly cramp though. However the room constantly smell of cigarette smoke even though it is a non smoking room. I try informing the reception but they keep assuring me that it is a non smoking room thus should not have any smoke smell. Not likely to stay in this hotel again unless I really have no other choice.
