For a 3 star rated hotel, not that bad.
It is a 3 star hotel and stayed true to the official star rating. Do not expect too much and you will not be that much disappointed. It was a last minute decision. The stay was for a 1 night stay on 16 September. There were 3 of us and since it was the weekend of Malaysia Day, most other hotels were full. Reservation was done direct by calling the hotel on the day itself and it was handled efficiently by Ms Shidah. We booked a 2 Bedroom Deluxe Apartment for Rm340 with 4 breakfasts. Check in was also very efficient. A bit of a side note, both staff who were manning the reception were not wearing any name tag. A name tag is an essential item in service industry. The apartment was located in a different building behind the main wing of the hotel. There were ample open air parking infront of the apartment block. The apartment itself was very basic but very big. We were accomodated in apartment A305. One room came with 2 single bed and the other room, the master bedroom, came with a queen bed and a single bed. The whole apartment could comfortably accomodate 5 people. The dining and the living room came with a 4 person dining table and enough seating area for at least 8 people. There was only 1 tv in the whole apartment and the channel selection were very limited. Wi-fi, eventhough free, was not working when we were there. Cleanliness was average. Some section of the bathroom needed some scrubbing. There was a smell of dampness and mustiness upon entering the apartment but it was remedied once you switched on the air conditioner. Apart from that, there was nothing much to complain. This was afterall, a 3 star property. We did not try the breakfast as we were too tired to wake up the next morning. We also did not try any of the food and beverages outlets since we were mostly out and about in the city. In a nutshell, the hotel was a bit old. A refurbishment would be nice. For a 3 star hotel, it was adequate for what it was. We usually stayed at the Casa del Rio, a 5 star property in the city center. Of course this will never be on par with Casa del Rio, but for what it is, a 3 star hotel, I am satisfied with the hotel. For those on a budget, I would recommend this hotel.

Old hotel. Not worth the price.
Just stay one night here, straightaway find another hotel on the next day. Not very clean, facilities need upgrade seriously. Poor sound proof. There are a lot better budget hotel out there. The only good point is near Pantai Putri Hospital, just opposite of the hospital.

Improvement on furnishing
Overall is quite clean but ALL furnishing should be replaced with new ones. Its outdated. Please create more cheerful outlook for the apartment. Good price, spacious, safe for kids. Will revisit again if they changed the room furniture's.

Just suitable for a stop over hotel
Nothing much to say. Quite clean. Only suitable as a stopover hotel incase. you arrive late at night. Restaurant and breakfast OK nothing much to shout about. Didnt try their award winning Thai Restaurant cause we arrived late.

More improvement needed....
Its just a mini gathering for my family and was all last minute plan.We manage to check  in at Kings Hotel apartment with 3 bedrooms. The staff was not friendly. They should let us know where and how to go there from the reception which is at the main hotel lobby. We ask then they respond .Wifi connection is terrible.U can use it only at the main lobby.Despite having the wifi sign at the lift lobby of the.kings apartment. We check.in 6 pax bt was only given 5 breakfast voucher. The breakfast menu was simple and not much choice of food. They should extend the breakfast time to 11am. The rooms were pretty big and can still accomodate more people. You need to get the extra bed which is Rm $15 for adult bed & Rm $11 for children. There is no pantry and there is only 1 small kettle to be shared by all.of us.The mineral water need to be replenish twice a day. The fridge is small for a family of 6pax to put their food or drinks in.The hall.is small.for a 3bedroom  apartment. There should be a sink at the hall. The hall is abit cramp and the table is too small for dining. The sofa is not enough to cater. The apartment next door with 2 rooms hall looks bigger and more like a home. The toilet shower is abit old.The tap is hard and diifiicult to turn on or off  especially for old people or those suffering from arthritis that attack the fingers and hands. The toilet seats cover are dirty in one of the rooms toilet. The curtains are dusty and dirty. There is no linkway from the apartment to the hotel. It was raining when we walk to the hotel for breakfast.Suggest to have a buggy to cater the needs for children, senior citizen.or who got problem walking.. The ironing room board n iron is bad and not maintain. The iron is old and if you are not careful enough ,you will have a "big hole "at the material you are ironing. My sister got really a bad experience, while ironing her favourite pants .I wonder if there is other people who become the victim that encounter the same experience. Location wise.is good.Easy for those driving as it is near the Ayer Keroh highway and near the Pantai Hospital and other amenities. The overall of kings hotel apartment is average.Much can be improve.I hope the hotel management will take every comment seriously and get the interior and exterior renovation or upgrading of the hotel as soon as possible.
