It does not matter, since KK Suites Hotel is more than able to cater to your requirement, hence providing a satisfactory staying experience. This two-star hotel stands proudly on Lot 98-100, Jalan Gaya, Kota Kinabalu City Centre, Kota Kinabalu which is really just within several minutes away from the city centre of Kota Kinabalu. Because of this location factor alone, you can expect a decent and interesting stay because of its ease of access to the popular and iconic tourist attractions as well as other places and hidden gems you can explore within the city to fully experience Kota Kinabalu just like the locals do.
How to get to KK Suites Hotel
With the hotel being near to the heart of Kota Kinabalu city, it is without question that one needs to get to the town area in order to reach the hotel. In order to do just that, you can board a plane from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport by booking tickets from either Malaysia Airlines or AirAsia. After the touchdown at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport, you can opt to go to the hotel by renting a car, taxi or bus. If you are driving, the drive to the hotel will take around 15 minutes from the airport depending on the traffic situation. If you are taking the bus, you will be dropped off at the bus terminal, in which you would need to go by foot around three kilometres more to arrive. You can also opt for the taxi, but mind that if you are taking the taxi, be sure to check on the meter rates to ensure that you are being charged properly. While you are on your way, there are a handful of landmarks you can spot to help you find the hotel. The landmarks being referred are the Milimewa Superstore and Gaya Street Sunday Market. If you can find these places, you do not have to worry about getting lost, because you are absolutely close to the hotel.

There are a total of four main types of the room made available to be picked for all guests wanting to stay the night at KK Suites Hotel and they are Single Room, Twin Room, Double Room and Family Room. With all these rooms are the rudimentary in-room facilities which include air conditioning, bathroom, shower, hairdryer, in-room safe, coffee / tea maker, desk, ironing facilities, television and Wi-Fi connection. Both Single Room and Double Room would allocate double beds, with the Single Room having a size of 9 square meters against Double Room’s 15 square meters size. Moreover, Twin Room would allocate two single beds while the Family Room would allocate one double bed and one single bed.

Since the hotel is situated on a two-storey shophouse, it does not have its own in-house dining place. Therefore when the dining time comes, guests would need to look elsewhere to enjoy their dining session instead of staying in the hotel. Atkinson Clock Tower – Located at the Kota Kinabalu city which is just within several hundred meters away from the hotel, making it comfortable to access by merely walking, the Atkinson Clock Tower is the oldest standing structure in the city. Built in the memory of Francis George Atkinson, it is open since 1905 and was originally built using Mirabau wood. It is of 15.24 meters high and facing the township on the hill; this tower was actually important in the past as it was used as a reference point for ships sailing around. In the present, due to land reclamation and various development efforts with taller buildings being built, it no longer serves its original function but maintained historical importance that marked how Kota Kinabalu has grown as a city.
