About

Guan Di Temple is also known as Kuan Ti Temple, which was completed in 1888. The temple is referring to the Chinese God War and Literature. Guan Di Temple is one of the Kuala Lumpur fascinating Chinese temples and a beautiful Taoist temple. This temple is amongst the oldest and most characterful places of worship in Kuala Lumpur. This temple is where the legendary 59 kg copper Guan Dao, Chinese weapon is located.


This temple has been continuously swarmed as people believe the sword to possess a special power and touching or lifting it can actually put that individual far from any bad or injury. Some of them believe that it has an inner force that can excitingly turn a person’s luck. Tourists that visit the temple can easily walk to Jalan Tun H. S. Lee, a small street parallel to the busy Petaling Street.


How to Get There

By Plane

You can fly to Kuala Lumpur International Airport from any major airports. From airport you can catch taxi to Guan Di Temple. The distance from airport to Guan Di Temple is about 57 km or 44 minutes’ drive from airport.


By Car

If you travel from North and South you may use North-South Expressway to reach Guan Di Temple.


By Train

The better way to reach Guan Di Temple is via the LRT. You can take LRT Train and stop at the Central Market Station. It is only roughly 10-15 minutes’ walk to the Guan Di Temple. You also can take the Monorail and stop at the Maharajalela Monorail station. Guan Di Temple is about 2 km walking distance.


By Bus

You can take GO KL City Bus to Pasar Seni LRT Station to reach Guan Di Temple. Take the bus and stop at the bus terminal near the Pasar Seni LRT station. Guan Di Temple is about 4 minutes walking distance.
