Hotels near Lata Kinjang Waterfall

Lata Kinjang is one of Malaysia's highest waterfalls. It is a multi-tiered waterfall located about 12 km north of Tapah. This waterfall is one of the best known falls in Malaysia and is highly visible along the North-South Highway due to its sheer size and height, easily impressing travellers to visit. The main attraction at this waterfall is the impressive series of cascades winding down a 100-metre drop. There are parking bays and eating stalls for picnickers. A small parking fee is charged for cars, normally active only on weekends and public holidays at the recreational park below the falls. In addition to the waterfall, there is an Orchid Garden for visitors to visit, or you can come here to camp, picnic and barbecue as a holiday or weekend leisure options.

How to Get There

By Plane

The nearest airport to Tapah is Sultan Azlan Shah Airport. You can take Malindo Air or Firefly to the airport and from airport take taxi to Lata Kinjang Waterfall through Tapah road where the journey takes an hour drive away.

By Bus

You can board C.S Express or Edaran Express bus from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) Kuala Lumpur to Tapah Bus Terminal. From the terminal you need to grab a taxi to get to Lata Kinjang Waterfall where the journey takes 22 minutes from Tapah.

By Car

If you drive from Kuala Lumpur, you can use North South Highway to reach Lata Kinjang Waterfall. Along the highway you can take Tapah Exit and continue north on the trunk road. Follow the signboards to Chenderiang. Past this village the road to the falls is clearly indicated. At the end of this road, there are hawker stalls and you can park your car there to get to Lata Kinjang Waterfall.

By Train

You can take the ETS train from Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station to reach Tapah Railway Station. You can take either Silver ETS or Gold ETS where the journey takes approximately 1 hour 35 minutes. From the Tapah Railway Station you can take taxi to Lata Kinjang Waterfall for another 14 km.

The park situated about 13 km from Tapah which presents a natural backdrop to swim, picnic and fishing. Kinta Tin Mining Museum

Kinta Tin Mining Museum is another popular tourist destination that you shouldn’t miss to visit. It is a fascinating museum of tin mining artifacts where one of the exhibits dates back 6,500 years. The museum display of actual machines, equipment and also a replica of tin miners doing various work including two female dulang washers and a group of men moving stones and operating a gravel pump.

Tempurung Cave
