How to Get There

By Car

Driving to Tiara Shawl is the easiest. It is just under three kilometres from the town of Kinabatangan. The Tiara Shawl is also just an hour away from the town of Sandakan, one of the big cities in Sabah.

By Bus

There are minibuses going from Kinabatangan to Lahad Datu though there is no fixed timetable for the buses.

By Plane

There is a small airport in Lahad Datu with only one flight going in and out from Kota Kinabalu. This is one of the fastest ways to get to Kinabatangan from the capital of Sabah, Kota Kinabalu. From the airport, it will take about one and half hour to reach Tiara Shawl.

Being part of the Sukau-Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary, this beautiful river gives a great opportunity to see the amazing wildlife in their natural habitat. Get onto a boat, and look out for the wild animals at the banks of the river and up the trees. There are also numerous numbers of small villages along the river and these usually become the starting point for the tourists to start the river tour.
