Great Location, silent place, helpful staff, WiFi poor
Value for money, Breakfast have many choose. Environment nice and relax. Enjoy stay at Lagoon Resort.
Great place to stay with your family. Recommended to the others who wish to visit Langkawi. One more thing is their staff is very friendly and don't hesitate to get help from them if needed
Clean and comfortable. 5-minute drive from airport, recommended to those coming to langkawi by flight.
Awesome! I booked the hill view apartment, but they upgrade our room to the sea village. Thanks so much LLR!
Comfortable, clean, nice hotel.
I would like to send my gratitude to all langkawi lagoon resort staff for their dedication and friendliness. It's definitely one of the best place to relax in langkawi.

So I chose this place based on what I thought was a balanced view of what the hotel offered and the reviews. Have done this similarly for a number years a rarely got it wrong. This time I got it totally wrong. So it starts with an open sewer in the car park with hose pipes permanently running into them. Upon entry to the hotel it is clear that as a resort it has failed a number of years ago and has now been sublet or divided into three or four smaller businesses. I suspect this is why reception at the entrance is closed and relocated to one of the bedrooms on the first floor. Our booking was for two adults and a child yet we had to ask every single day for bedding for our daughter which to be fair we got within 30 minutes but was then taken away by the cleaners the following day. Every day we left the air conditioning on due to the outside hot temperatures. Every day the cleaners would turn it off resulting in a baking hot room upon our return. Likewise every day we had to ask for toilet paper and pool towels which the cleaners removed. Our room was of a good size with TV en-suit and kettle/ microwave and twin electric hob. The walls were badly scuffed, the double patio doors did not fit and had an inch gap at the bottom letting in the wildlife which included gecko's and mosquito's. We got quite badly bitten. Also during a storm one night the sound of the wind through this gaps made it sound like a tornado had hit town. We also had our water turned off on our last day for 24 hours without any prior notice. The advertised wifi might as well be pigeon post. It is so slow and to get a signal you end up swapping from one to another of the half dozen or so routers available. At peak times it simply didn't work. The lagoon is a sea water fed lake. There is a sandy beach which drops into what can only be described as thick grey mud which you simply wouldn't go near. The pool is good but wasn't cleaned once whilst we were there so hence the scummy slick at one end. The slide was marked out of action, the pool bar had been stripped and was inoperable. The pool/towel attendant would not give us towels because he worked for a different hotel that used the pool. The decking and flagging around the pool is a death trap come severe accident waiting to happen. The bar was good value and served a great selection of spirits and Tiger on draught. There was a buy one and get one free from 18:00 to 21:00 each night which made the prices ridiculously cheap. That said, we were the only ones using the bar due to the religion of all the other guests. The staff to be fair are very polite and try and help as best they can and always have a smile on their faces. It is very clear though that costs are an issue and mustn't be incurred unless essential. Evidence of that was when our hire car broke down and none of the concierges dare use the phone near the front door and ordered us upstairs where believe it or not the receptionist used his own mobile phone to call the hire company. Conclusion - wouldn't stay here again and can only guess those that have rated it higher than 3 star probably don't go away very often or if the do, do so on a budget. That said, it is massively over priced and a long way away from any major tourist area - be warned if visiting from the U.K./USA.

I was at this place from 8 to 14 July, and I am confusing if it is terrible or poor. We checked in afternoon after a long trip: -Room Phone is not working, the presence of phone is critical coz if you want to go from your room to taxi, it needs a buggy car and if the phone is faulty, so you are stuck.it takes 3 nights to solve it. -Remote of Air condition is not working, we asked them to change many times but in vain, we bought batteries to start the Aircon. -While we arrived, the room was full of dust, for 2 consecutive days , we asked them to clean properly, at the end i went to their reception and said " we need a cleaner right now or just tell me that you are not able to provide one so I will go to another hotel", finally they sent one. -the bed and pillows sheets were not changed while we arrived at afternoon, went again to their reception to tell them to change. if you go inside the resort, it seems it was good, location great but it seems no renovation and there is no management . the staff are friendly when you asked them but they smile in a way that the matters are out of their hand. While staying at the pool , there is no service, you can't drink even water, no waiter presence, no life guard. during breakfast and staying at the pool , when we chatted with other families, they faced the same problems at their rooms. Believe me, if you are planning a vacation, don't stress yourself by staying at this hotel.

No service in this place
I've hold my breath a lot but this is over. Just here for holiday we thought we are in a nice place, the hotel has different owners with 2 reception. I'm in the third floor and reception just next door and always they send us away to first floor(who cares) just matter if organization, so we are here if our reception elsewhere! Receptionist Morney and Nadia are nice and there is a sense of hospitality the other lady (has no idea what is hell going on). See full of mud you can't swim on the Beach, pool is 1* level without service same story for towels as the reception issue. No management on the floor to look after guests needs and requests, doormen are not going to greet you if you don't use their monkey business with taxi drivers, just awful and they smoke and chat in the main entrance as a traveler with hotel industry background ( this is a big mess) Housekeeping is big issue lack of everything, towels, toilet paper missing, unlocked doors in our absent(Really catastrophic) no sheet changes, after heavy rains the towels got wet and I called to change, reception informed me that HSK available from 9 to 5 PM ( excuse me) in a resort with frequent turnover guests this is not acceptable. Went to the receptionist and fat bellboy had big fun when I brought my rainy wet towels( this should learn to behave befit to work, so rude attitude in hotels where people come to relax) it took me while to write this as I felt helpless when I communicate directly with them here, so if I survived then you future guys should be warned what's waiting for you. Summary: - Management has no clue what the staff doing with guests. - Staff majority rude unless you pay them then start to be nicer - Service catastrophic - Bad beach - Average pool - I'm sure no management will respond but worse to share, may be will be good start for them to wake up Good luck !

Very run down with hardly any service staff at all. Believe that there are actually a few room operators who buy up rooms and then operate sub-hotels! Limited food options. Had to get out for all meals. Pool was surprisingly crowded but I believe it was due to friends/families of staff just coming in during weekends to use the hotel pool.

Nice Location but clean up and renovation will be a game changer
Stayed there during mid june 2017. Overall was okay and staff were friendly. Nik was really nice. Location was good but I feel that renovation should be done. This is because, the Private beach is not as 'clean' and resort is generally old. Nevertheless, if renovation is done, this will be a luxury resort for sure.
