St. Michael's and All Angels Church – Being the oldest church made of stone in Sabah, this church which is also known as St. Michael for short is an Anglican church that is found within ten minutes away from the hotel just by driving. It has such a rich history that could be traced back to the days when Sandakan was still under the rule of the North Borneo Chartered Company. With the arrival of Reverend William Henry Elton as the priest of Sandakan in 1888, the foundation stone was laid in 1893 and the construction finished 30 years later.
