The peak lodge
It is a semi-detached chalet with 2 rooms, living room, and pantry. Lovely wooden chalet with simple finishing but feel cosy. Simple bathroom with normal finishing like an average house in Malaysia. Not to expect a high quality hotel room with the price you pay, but rather the experience to stay in a house with outside temperature at 18 Celsius degree, fire place at night warm you up, to enjoy the magnificent view of Mt KK by sitting at the veranda of chalet, view of trees and birds surrounding the chalet to make you feel relax. For room, one is with king size bed , and the other is with 2 single beds. Both rooms come with portable heater which are very useful for family with young children and I am for those with elderly. Big living room with a fire place. The hotel will provide a bundle of wood and light up the fire for you, extra bundle is with charge. Good breakfast and dinner, especially the stew lamb

Paradise Found on Manukan Island
This recently renovated seafront resort is pure bliss. It's the perfect getaway from KK for a weekend or extended stay. We stayed in the hillside villa #14. The room was the most incredible place! We had to pull ourselves out of the luxurious beds, massive tub, and cozy living room to get down to the beautiful white sand and turquoise water beach. Not a problem I mind having. Don't miss the short trek to the sunset point or waking up early to see spectacular sunrises over Mt. Kinabalu. Unlike most resorts, this one actually boasts a restaurant that creates delicious food inspired by local flavors. Breakfast is a massive array of dishes and a BBQ night is an experience not to miss.

Wonderful views, fresh air and cool weather
Stayed at the Peak Lodge - which had 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. It was ok since we were on vacation and not rushing to get ready. More time for us to enjoy the wonderful early morning view of the mountain from our deck. It was nice to just sit on the deck and chit chat with family, having a few drinks and snacks. The restaurants are an easy 5 to 10 minute walk from the Lodge. We walked around the Park a few times a day, to explore the Botanical Garden and enjoy the nature. It was a wonderful, relaxing few days, and we have all agreed that we will be back. Will probably book the lovely Kinabalu Lodge next time.
