Quiet side of Perhentian besar
From Kota Bharu airport, roughly need 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach jetty. Took another 30-45 mins boat ride to reach the chalet. What surprise me was, when we arrived at the chalet, we notice more foreigner than local. We took a package with the chalet, 4 days 3 nights package, include snorkeling, meals and stay. Choose a sea view chalet. The design of the chalet is more to wooden built up. Friday and Saturday will be slightly nosier as local enjoying their weekend there.

Little Paradise of Island
Booked Cozy Chalets for my holiday with my mom. Check in was smooth and our chalets was in the hill which we had to climb up a little, but good exercise. Room is big, light and newly renovated. Aircond was too cold, so extra thick blanket they should have put, which they dont have it. Bed-sheets and towels are clean. Room view is just amazing and can watch sunset. Its very quit and nights a bit scary in the middle of jungle. So i just hotel staff, to turn on the lights on the chalets corridor when its dark, because after dinner coming back it wont be able to see the stairs, its too dark and scary. Breakfast is too simple, but there something to eat. We had eat at Tuna Bay during our stay, as they have good western foods and nights are more lively there. Overall we had great stay and we liked the hotel and staff.

Paradise view of Beaches and Good experience
We stayed at Cozy chalets for 4 nights . Total of us 14 Adult 3 Child , Family and Friends .. Booked for New Cocohut but due to no availability, without anymore choice we stayed at Cozy Chalets . Good : 1.Great good heart staffs and people around . Most of the staffs are very helpful and friendly 2.Foods are no comments , very good Malaysian Malay foods .. even some is Chinese style cooking.. 3. Amazing locations , near to beaches and especially very near to long beach ( manage to enjoy the night life ) 4. Great private tour for all 3days snockeling packages .. the boat driver and the assistant are joyful person enjoy together with all of us Bad 1. The Cozy Chalets had to climb the equivalent of 4 stories.. tired of climbing , the stairs is not so safety .. 2. Cozy Chalets is not suits for elderly people , it’s very difficult for them to climb each stairs ... plus we needs to carry all our luggage’s without any help or assist by the management of Chalets.. Overall , the experience and the other services given was so good 😊.. definitely will not hesitate to stay again in future .. Will choose the lower grown or new Cocohut easy for handle kids and elderly ..

Bad experience on the garden chalets @New Cocohut
There are some mismatch between Booking.com and the actual reality. I believe either their photos are not updated or there are hidden agenda behind as the garden chalets was showing the seaview chalet photos which is newer but all the garden chalet is not new but OLD. There were no blanket and the bed sheets was not clean at all. Overall is a bad experience for my family considering the price for a cheap garden chalets cost around RM250++/night. Here is my review on New Cocohut - Villa Environment: The beach is just a portion at the very corner and overall environment was not so perfect at all. Garden Chalet is facing the back of the Seaview chalet. The view of New Cocohut is facing Pulau Perhentian Kecil village. Service & Staff: Staff services was not good at all as family already having bad experience on the room and we request cleaning and all we get is “The reception is just open and busy”. Another comment even the breakfast is complimentary but each customer are limit with 1 egg and we paying so high on the room and few eggs doesn’t cost much. There are no electric kettle at the room and there are no water dispenser at the lobby. If you forgot to buy mineral water at night and you will be in trouble as the reception closed at 10pm and there are no way to get water. Room comfort: Garden Chalet is just terrible and cleanliness are not acceptable. TV is just for display and not working. Blanket is just a cloth and we feel the itchiness during sleep. There are a ventilation fan at the toilet and when you off it at night and the whole toilet will be full of insects as there are gaps on the fan. Villa Tip: If you insist staying at this chalets then please choose Seaview Chalet else go to the next door as the price of the Seaview is about the same as next door. I will definitely consider next door next time and will not return to Old Cocohut anymore.

great location with seaview
This hotel located in pulau perhentian besar & have 2 different part which is new cocohut (seaview chalet) and cosy chalet (up in the hill). We stayed on their new cocohut chalet (deluxe seaview chalet) which located in front of the beach. The room were clean and nice. Initially we want to book seaview chalet at the TUNA BAY but its fully booked so we ended up with cocohut. Their breakfast choices were very limited and the food are not nice. We ended up eating at the next hotel TUNA BAY. For snorkeling, the beach right infront of the hotel were not really suitable as it is shallow water with a lot of corals which make swimming harder. But if you just walk pass the hext hotel at tuna bay, you will find great snorkeling place at the taman laut.
