The room was comfortable and nice. The only complaint is that there were some very noisy construction work going on at night until 1:30am. We didn't manage to sleep until after that.
- Romantic Vacation
Awesome boutique hotel in the heart of Penang. Comfort, cozy, vintage, and many more. Love this hotel very much, hope we will back again and stay at Noordin.
- Family vacation
The Not So Good: Walls are very thin, and we could hear everything, even people just walking past the room. The plumping (given this is an old shophouse) was loud even late into the night which made sleep difficult. There is also some construction going on near the shophouse, so if you're a light sleeper this would be an issue. Breakfast spread is very limited and simple. Just toast/jam/butter with perhaps one or two local dishes. The Good: Service is wonderful. The staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable, even with the limitations above. Location: a little out of the way from Georgetown, but is only RM5 by Uber/Grab to any of the usual attractions. The shophouse itself is beautiful, with a gorgeous rooftop garden and little nooks to explore.

One of the loveliest hotels I have ever stayed in
We stayed in the Noordin Street House for a few nights with kids and this is the nicest hotel we had. The hotel is full of charm - it is not very big, each room is individually and lovely decorated. You have the feeling as you are traveling through time because all the rooms seem to have their own history or story. It was super clean, the bathroom was huge and everything was very well equipped: with aircon and fan, tea kettle, and you name it! the location is super perfect: the street is very quiet, there is a huge mall very close, it takes you only 10 minutes to go to the jetty and a 10 minutes walk to get to the more buzzing old town with all the tourist attraction. The breakfast was also very delicious - I just say "French Toast"!!! Hmmmmm! And the kids enjoyed the pool a lot as a refreshment and nobody was complaining when the jumped up and down! And last but not least: the staff was super friendly and helpful. The explained everything to us: how to get a cab, how to get wherever we wanted, what of special offers are there for us and what to see - a tour guide is included, you can say! A very special thanks also to Sandra!!! She was great help in any situation Thank you for an amazing and wonderful stay!!!!

Enjoyed Every Bit of It !!!
Indeed it was our first time staying in a heritage hotel, but definitely not our last time. The ambience, the furniture setting, the friendliness and helpfulness of Jessie and her crews made us feel at home, minus the house chores. Everything is so convenient, and everywhere is within walking distance which include a few shopping malls and supermarkets, famous hawker centers (one of them is just a 3-minute walk from Noordin Street House), main bus station, street murals etc. It is situated at Noordin Street (that's how the hotel got its name I believe) or 2nd Street as it is known to the locals. The main street is Jalan Magazine or 1st Street which is next or parallet to Noodin Street. Hence it is shielded a fair bit from the traffic noise. Can't wait to come back next time.

Great value, terrific service
Nothing is too much trouble for Jessie and the staff. We are an older couple and felt we were especially well looked after. We loved the heritage rooms and the period furniture and fittings. The location was perfect being close to shopping malls and the best hawker centres in Georgetown. On our fourth night we had to leave for the airport at 3.30am and we were concerned about arranging reliable transport. No trouble for the staff here. A car was arranged which turned up on time at no charge to us. We loved Penang and will be visiting 2 or 3 times a year in future. Nordic Street House will be our go to place when we stay in Georgetown.

Great stay! :)
We had a great stay at Noordin street house. The owner and her boys were so nice and helped us with several things during out stay. They even made us breakfast at 4:15 when we needed to leave early for our flight! We do not understand why people complain about the breakfast, it is really nice with an option of several kind of eggs, french toast, pancake, fresh fruit and standard toast with jam/butter. We liked it. Room (sutura) was really nice. Every city has some noice, but it was moderate and not keeping us from sleep at all. You are just outside the really main centre of georgetown but all highlights are within walking distance. If you do not like to walk, plenty grabcars for 5RM. Georgetown is great, nice street art and food. :)

Friendly and easy
Lovely staff and close to everything including main bus station. Walking distance to most tourist streets including those in the little India area. We had a ground floor room by the pool. Pool is lovely and so is the furniture and garden surrounding it. Room was lovely with retro furniture and comfy bed. Downsides- shower is quite cold and air Conditioning is weak. We would stay again.

Staying at Noordin Street House is a good choice when you are visiting Georgetown.

The hotel has a very good location, also near the Penang International Airport (PEN), which is only 14.09 km away.

This hotel is very easy to find since it is strategically positioned close to public facilities.
